Two plays for Thursday:
905 Thursday, 5/27/2010 Arizona D-Backs/Colorado Rockies Over 9.5 2 units
3:10pm EST @ Colorado Rockies
Today in Colorado we have a neutral ump but we see this game, which will be played in the high 80’s, sailing OVER. Nine of Haren’s ten starts have surpassed the OVER. His control is decent but he is getting hit (.280 BAA) early in the count. Furthermore, he is usually asked to pitch further into games because the ‘Zona pen has been a disappointment. Once again we find the bullpen over used. Hammel (1-3, T1-5, 7.51 ERA, 1.515 WHIP, .313 BAA), for the Rockies, has performed a bit better of late but is having a terrible 2010 campaign. His last outing against the D’backs lasted only three innings after getting shelled. We have a feeling this will be one of those Rocky Mountain HIGHs!

915 Thursday, 5/27/2010 Philadelphia Phillies/New York Mets Under 8.0 2 units
7:10pm EST @ New York Mets
Andy Fletcher watches the dish tonight at CitiField. You want an UNDER ump, well you have one in Fletcher. You want two above average pitchers, you have Hamels and Pelfrey. Both are in fine form, however, both having had difficulty against the other team in the past. Nonetheless, the Phils need a win desperately in this spot and we see Hamels stepping up. The Phils are not scoring once again (avg. 3 runs L10 and 2 runs L8). Yes, the Mets are scoring but it will all come down to Hamels and Fletcher to keep this one UNDER.
