[QUOTE=RudyNYCSports;22828][B]trushot,
Firstly, the lines I post are what my monitor has at the time. My monitor uses Pinny. I tend to post early in the day so very often those will be the overnights. Although I see the vig when I select a total play, it shows in the summary without the money. Then I cut and paste it with just the total figure. Online I grade all totals at -110 for consistency sake. In the end that should wash out. But that is not as important as what are the options when placing a total wager.
Before I answer your question please note that this line has already moved to OVER 8 +100 at half the houses. There are still -7.5's ranging from -115 to -130 out there. Now to answer your question, first, I do not recommend The Greek for baseball as they are not a dime shop. I would still make the play and still recommend it at OVER 7.5 -130. I will pay the difference in order to get the win if it falls on 8. I'm not in the game to push. Call me "old school" but I'll eat the vig should I have to lay -120 (what I played it at for myself) to -130. I'm not one of those guys that looks to play dogs (dogs are nicer in other sports where you are getting points; in baseball you have to WIN the game) all the time or looks for added value in my plays, especially sides. I seldom lay more than 150 but will not pull off a play if the line is too high (but it has to be below 150 or so).
Bottom line as far as I am concerned, in order to win in baseball you have to throw out much of the principles of +ev. I handicap looking for winners with value, not perceived value alone. Think about that!

[B]While typing the above, the total moved back down to -7.5 (-115 to -130) in all outs. Still laying the wood with the OVER 7.5.
