Two for Monday Intraleague MLB Play:
901 Monday, 6/28/2010 New York Mets ( -109) 3 units
7:05pm EST @ Florida Marlins (not really)
Tonight the Mets and Marlins start a series on a neutral field, Hiram Bithorn Stadium in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Ricky Nolasco starts for the dysfunctional Marlins. My, my, how “Ricky has lost that number” since 2008. Ricky continues to slide as he has only two quality starts in his last ten. His numbers for his last three games are 1-2, 6.46 ERA, 1.76 WHIP, and 6 HR’s. Meanwhile, RA Dickey continues to amaze. His numbers, last three, are 3-0, 1.29 ERA, 1.10 WHIP and no HR’s. Note that the Marlins’ bullpen was extended this weekend and the Mets’ pen looks to be ready. We’ll go with the hotter team, hotter pitcher, better pen with this line which set too low for a neutral field.

921 Monday, 6/28/2010 Chicago White Sox ( -130) 3 units
8:10pm EST @Kansas City Royals
Mark Buehrle, after an erratic start, has pitched himself into fine form (3-0, 1.80 ERA, 1.25 WHIP last three). The White Sox, hottest team in baseball, face a pitcher who has not shown much in winless Anthony Lerew. The way the Chisox have been hitting they should have no problem with Lerew. The White Sox are 20-7 in Buehrle’s last 27 starts vs. the Royals. Even with Bobby Jenks out on bereavement leave we see the red hot Chisox getting back to their winning ways.
