Two teams playing at different levels as Rangers are red hot and Tigers, who looked flat yesterday even with Verlander, are not. Brad Penny, Tiger’s starter, is still adjusting to the AL and not doing a very good job of it (0-1, 11.17 ERA, 2.07 WHIP and .317 BAA) while CJ Wilson, Rangers’ starter, has been sharp (1-0, 2.84 ERA, 1.26 WHIP, .245 BAA). One cannot say enough about how well the Rangers are playing while we see the Tigers’ play not quite there yet. Mismatch in Rangers’ favor. (Might want to consider the run-line too).
