Thanks for the plays--do you have your record/units for the plays you have posted here? I think the record is approx. 30-21, but I didn't know about the units
Thanks for the plays--do you have your record/units for the plays you have posted here? I think the record is approx. 30-21, but I didn't know about the units
Yes, 30-21 including yesterday. All plays here are unweighted at one unit. I have been updating my record on Monday's. Before yesterday's W, as indicated in this thread, my record here was 29-21 +7.54 units. Rudy
Play for 5/9: 917 Toronto Azul Jays -148 (again, we seldom lay above 140 but besides the obvious pitching mismatch, the Blue Jays have to be smarting after last night's 9th inning debacle) Possible more plays tonight. GL, Rudy
Who do you think will pitch if it is a save situation? Cordero has blown three saves (but were the other two in middle relief?) and threw too many pitches to come back out tonight in any case.
Who do you think will pitch if it is a save situation? Cordero has blown three saves (but were the other two in middle relief?) and threw too many pitches to come back out tonight in any case.
To answer your initial question, anyone can come in today in a save situation today including Cordero who has come back next day having thrown as many pitches already this season. Cordero hadn't pitched in a week before last night and perhaps was rusty. Quite frankly, Cordero has always scared me and I would prefer he sits today. The key stat here is Morrow's tendency to throw many innings. With him, there is a correlation between number of pitches thrown and strikeouts. He consistently throws pitches in the low 100's. If his strikeout count is up and his walk count low, we will get the innings we need and this will be a winner. We have a favorable strikeout umpire in Ed Hickox - that should help. With the above said, I now prefer a 5 inning play on the Blue Jays as there is little doubt in my mind that the BJ's will get to Ross. For the record, I still like the full game play, too. Rudy
