RUDY's MLB 4/12 - 4/18

Rudy NYC Sports MLB Plays 4/15/2010 - FINAL 1-3 -6.60 units (yesterday) 29-13 +38.22 units (MLB season to date) --------------------------------------------------- Thursday (no matinee games) - FINAL: 920 Thursday, 4/15/2010 Toronto Blue Jays ( -116) 3 units 7:05pm EST @ Toronto Blue Jays - Blue Jays: Loved Eveland’s first out and Garcia has seen better days. Play this one for the game and certainly for 5 innings. --------------------------------------------------- 913 Thursday, 4/15/2010 Los Angeles Dodgers/Arizona D-Backs Under 7.5 -120 2 units 10:10pm EST @ Los Angeles Dodgers - UNDER LAD: Kuroda shaping up to be a bone fide MLB starter. Harden, if he shows up, is real tough. We really do not like to pay that kind of juice on a total but 7.5 is a gift, if still around. Would still play @ 7. --------------------------------------------------- GL RUDY
Friday 4/16/2010 1-1 +0.60 units (yesterday) 30-14 +38.82 units (MLB season to date) ------------------------------------------------- Friday's Plays: 969 Friday, 4/16/2010 Chicago White Sox ( -131) 3 units 7:05pm ES @ Cleveland Indians 953 Friday, 4/16/2010 Cincinnati Reds/Pittsburgh Pirates Under 8.5 2 units 7:05pm EST @ Pittsburgh Pirates 963 Friday, 4/16/2010 Arizona D-Backs/San Diego Padres Over 7.5 2 units 10:05pm EST @ San Diego Padres 965 Friday, 4/16/2010 San Francisco Giants/Los Angeles Dodgers Over 9.0 3 units 10:10pm EST @ Los Angeles Dodgers - CWS: Decisive pitching edge with Buehrle (ERA: 2.40, WHIP: .093) who has gotten off to a great start…White Sox have proven to that they can produce runs when they put runners on and with Talbot wild (16 walks in 14.2 innings) since hitting the majors, we see the White Sox getting runners on base and besting the Indians, who are not scoring much. - UNDER In Pitt: Duke pitching well (ERA: 3.00, WHIP: 1.167) and with purpose this year…despite giving up 7 BB’s in his debut against the Cubs, Mike Leake pitched a very nice game putting his team in a position to best the Cubs that day. - OVER SD: We do not trust either of these pitchers and this line is set too low…loved the way the D’backs played last night against the Dodgers as they continued their recent run production. Throw a little on the D’backs to win, too. - OVER LAD: Can’t trust either of these pitchers yet and we do not see either team letting up all weekend as Giants will try to show their swagger in this bitter rivalry. Wellemeyer (ERA: 5.69, WHIP 1.738) and Padilla (ERA: 11.43, WHIP 2.079) are cause for this line to be set at an unusual high number for Dodger Stadium with the Giants in town, but we see this one flying way OVER. Consider the OVER 5 inning play, too. GL RUDY
Saturday 4/17/2010 Matinee MLB 3-1 +3.07 units (yesterday) 33-15 +41.89 units (MLB season to date) ---------------------------------------------------- Matinee Games: 907 Saturday, 4/17/2010 San Francisco Giants (-152) 2 units 4:10pm EST @ Los Angeles Dodgers SF: Have to back Lincecum even at this price…Giants showed what they are really all about last night by coming from way back but a bit short…they will not be playing from behind today. --------------------------------------------------- 921 Saturday, 4/17/2010 Minnesota Twins/Kansas City Royals Over 9.0 3 units 1:10pm EST @ Minnesota Twins OVER Minn: One word – Gil Meche (that’s two)….and Blackburn very capable of giving up a few --------------------------------------------------- 922 Saturday, 4/17/2010 Minnesota Twins (RL -1.5 +117) 2 units 1:10pm EST @ Minnesota Twins Minn: Twins playing great ball and now face, you guessed it, Gil Meche. Twins have taken 9 of last 10 vs. Royals and 7 of those nine covered the run line. --------------------------------------------------- Back later with more action under the lights. GL RUDY
Saturday Night Play: 916 Saturday, 4/17/2010 San Diego Padres ( -133.0) 3 units 8:35pm EST @ San Diego Padres - Padres: it only gets worse; Benson is starting in the majors. Some team (D'backs) needs real pitchers. D’back’s pen is shot to boot. See you all tomorrow. GL RUDY

3-1 +6.00 units (Yesterday) 36-16 +47.89 units (2010 MLB Season to date) -------------------------------------------------------- Today's card - including first 5 unit play: 972 Sunday, 4/18/2010 Toronto Blue Jays ( -127.0) 5 units 1:05pm EST @ Toronto Blue Jays Blue Jays: Is there a better thrower in the AL than Ricky R right now? We do not think so. After a splendid spring, last time we will mention that, Romero (ERA: 1.80, WHIP: 0.667 and 12K ‘s in his last start) has shown next to no flaws. On the other hand, Erwin Santana (ERA: 6.94, WHIP: 1.628) is pitching like Carlos Santana! It’s getaway day for the Angels and we have our first 5 RATED PLAY of the year as we look for the Blue Jays to avoid the weekend sweep. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 962 Sunday, 4/18/2010 San Diego Padres ( -105.0) 3 units 4:05pm EST San Diego Padres Padres: Don’t get us started about Ian Kennedy. OK we will – we chased him out of New York for a reason: he is just not a very good pitcher (ERA: 8.68, WHIP: 1.608). LeBlanc has shown promise in his brief appearances in the Majors. Here’s the clincher: the D’backs have faced two southpaws this season and batted .200 in losing both. Padres playing nice ball at Petco and should complete the sweep this afternoon. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 963 Sunday, 4/18/2010 Los Angeles Dodgers/San Francisco Giants Over 8.5 2 units 4:10pm EST @ Los Angeles Dodgers OVER SF/LAD: We said it Friday: there would be an abundance of runs in this series and we see no let up today. Zito pitching well but we see the 8.5 OVER very attainable as these two potent lineups battle it out. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Back at 'ya tomorrow! GL today, RUDY
