RUDY's MLB 4/19 - 4/25

Thanks for the plays--I sure like these -1.5 run line plays a lot better when we're on the road team
Thanks for the plays--I sure like these -1.5 run line plays a lot better when we're on the road team
BB, I hear 'ya. However, I do have a play on the Astros -1.5 +130 at home as I see much value in backing Oswalt at plus 30 and laying the runs. I could be wrong but Roy is starting to look like the old Roy and Maholm cannot get his act together. Now that Berkman is back, the Astros do look like a different team. JMHO RUDY
Play of the Day -04/24/10 Matinee Game 0-3 -9.70 units (yesterday) 42-22 +40.50 units (2010 MLB Season to date) ---------------------------------------------------- Matinee Play: 969 Saturday, 4/24/2010 Seattle Mariners (-101) 2 units 4:10pm EST @ Chicago White Sox It’s always a leap of faith playing the Mariners on the road but we will fade Freddy Garcia (0-2, 8.10 ERA, 1.90 WHIP, and .297 BAA) as long as he is still around and when we see a respectable pitcher on the other side. Seattle’s Doug Fister has been close to perfect (2-1, 1.42 ERA, 0.84 WHIP, and .176 BAA). Play this one for 9 innings and 5 innings, too. Back later with a night play. GL RUDY
For how many units rudy?
For how many units rudy?
2 units Just shows you, never drink too much tequila the night before posting! Thanks much, RUDY
Saturday Night Action: 973 Saturday, 4/24/2010 Toronto Blue Jays (139.0) 2 units 6:10pm EST @ Tampa Bay Rays We have to continue to back Romero (1-1, 1.57 ERA, 0.74 WHIP, and .143 BAA) with the Rays having difficulty against southpaws and Jays facing their preferred right hander Niemann (1-0, 2.94 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and .228 BAA) who is no slouch. We see too much value at +139. GL, RUDY
Sunday's Play of the Day 0-2 -4.02 units (yesterday) 42-24 +36.48 units (2010 MLB Season to date) --------------------------------------------------- Sunday's Play: 923 Sunday, 4/25/2010 Minnesota Twins (-132) 3 units 2:10pm EST @ Kansas City Royals The Twins are now 13-3 last 16 against KC and starter Slowey is 4-0 (1.13 WHIP) career against Royals. Slowey (2-1, 2.45 ERA, 1.25 WHIP, .243 BAA) has gotten off to a great start and Bannister (0-1, Team 0-3, 4.59 ERA, 1.30 WHIP, .243 BAA), who got shelled last out at Toronto, is showing his inconsistent self evidenced by his inability to last more than 5 or 6 innings. There lies the key! The Royals bullpen is spent after last night’s game. Soria pitched 2 innings and should not be available. Mauer, who went 5 for 6 last night, should play the day game as the Twins have tomorrow off. GL RUDY
figures like your record, but it figures the minute i jump on i go 0-3 i feel like the cooler - keep going, your work is appreciated
Same here. When I was on the sideline, alot of winners. Now that I've started playing, I also feel like The Cooler. Welcome to the club.
Gentleman, It's a long season. Baseball is unlike any other sport. It is virtually impossible to sustain a run like the one we had forever. There is not one recent play posted that I would not make again. Most of these plays the last few days looked like winners late in the game but turned into losers. That is promising. I tell my followers never to tail me blind. Very often, I have six to ten plays on a given day. The same logic apples. I tell them to make straight plays on the ones you agree with the most. Use the others in small amount parlays. This formula has been extremely successful over the years. Again, the losses always hurt, sometimes sting (see Seattle yesterday), but we move on. Back at 'ya tomorrow. GL always and thanks for your support, RUDY Note: I usually post my one or two best here daily.
