Thursday's ugly start

Thursday's ugly start IF you play mostly unders you have to have thick skin, sometimes. My under ticket was just quashed by a 6 run bottom of the 8th inning by the Rays. You never get used to it. Unbelievable.
Worst of the year by far was last week in NYY @ Cle game. Total was 9. 2-1 NYY top 7 in a complete pitchers duel. 2 outs 0 on in top 7th and going into the bottom of the 7th it was 9-1 NYY. Yep you read it right. How does that happen? How do MLB teams (pitchers) give up 7 earned runs with 2 outs and nobody on in an inning when any out at any point and the inning is done? Amazing
I had the over in that NY game. Didn't know it was a lucky win. Sorry you were on the other side Burger. I've been there many times.

Amazing
That was a bad one but not the "worst of the year". Milwaukee at LAD, Under 9.5 Top of the 9th LAD up 3-1. 2 outs no one on base Broxton proceeds to give up 2 runs with Prince Fielder scoring the tying run from 2nd on an infield hit Then in the bottom of the 9th with 2 out and a runner on third Mil intentionally walks a man, then unintentionally walks a man to load the bases, and of course Either hits a grand slam to make the total runs scored 10 and send it over the 9.5. These details might not be exact (might have been 1 or no outs in the bottom of the 9th) But you get the idea

filtered memory I can always remember the bad results but seem to forget the lucky wins. Still, you never quite get over those late results that go the other way. I'm walking around with a bad taste in my mouth, at the moment. This too, will pass.
