Tim Lincecum

Tim Lincecum He has a new windup now. It's not really new -- he used it in high school. His dad said he finally got comfortable with it by the 4th or 5th inning Friday, which explains why he pitched better later on in the game. Source: Giants radio network pregame show interview with his dad. (The segment is called "Father Knows Best.") In related news, it seems the Giants are playing better than they really are. My suggestion is to bet Lincecum and fade the Giants all other days.
It's been a great month for the Giants. They have been on a roll. They get tomorrow off. In July they played every day except for the 3 day all-star break. I heard the "father knows best" segment with Tim's dad.
Cain is having a huge year. Not exactly fade material. I think the Giants are a decent team. Offense still isn't great, but it's definitely been bolstered by the arrival of Posey. Brian Wilson has emerged as a top-tier closer. Sandoval is due to heat up, although that's been true for a while.
The Giants major problem is getting from the starter to the closer. It's that 7th and 8th inning. They tried to address that with a couple trades for relievers over the weekend. Time will tell.

Offense played over its head in July. It can't last. Last night's game is typical of what to expect. They will beat the teams that can't hit, and they will lose to the teams that can. Cain will win, sure, but it's all in the line already. The only SP with any value left is Lincecum, and that may only last another start or two if he is dominant next time out.
