Why I hate baseball In football it is not at all unusual to have games move 6 points, or to get a team +115, then find you can play the other guys +125! Contrast this with bases. HERE, it really seems if you get a -110 favorite, that closes -123 you ARE DOING CARTWHEELS, WHAT AN ADVANTAGE. I'm sure the prop guys are doing great, but in terms of pure baseball betting, I just cannot win. Hell, I can find guys who won 20, 50, 100 units during the last season. Or guys that won the last 10 years. DOES NOT MATTER. AS SOON AS I BET THEM..........THey cannot pick winners. It really is amazing. And doubly frustrating to me is that I cannot filter any plays like in any sports where I know what I'm doing........so when a stinker goes up, I have no chance to detect it in time.

I think baseball is a moderately beatable sport if you really study and watch games. But it is such a daily grind that I find it not worth the effort. This is an excellent time to just stop betting and doing other things. CFL starts in a couple of months

The interesting thing is that any bookmaker will tell you that baseball is normally the worst past of their year - and not just due to lower volume but b/c suckers tend to win more. I guess much of this can be attributed to the public chasing chalk/hot pitchers. It doesn't matter how high you make the lines if Halladay wins 6 in a row, etc.
