Don't you think putting out lines late will hurt this? Old days - early lines - sharps bet line into shape. late line moves are from idiots. Now - no early lines. Moves after mid week likely due to sharps.

for this system is there a book and a more specific time of midweek that you use? noon eastern thurs? pinnacle?

The NW one doesn't count. I mean, it will for me because I bet it (lol records). But if you want legit 8 of clubs, no. You also should be waiting for kickoff to bet these. There are still early lines. They are just harder to find. There are one or two books with early lines instead of 20. In my mind, that means it takes LESS money to move a line midweek. This means more opportunity for head fakes. In any case, sharps will still get down, but not for as much, and people buying picks will be SOL. As long as people chase steam, it's OK to me if line movement is sharp. I'm theorizing the correct line is still closer to the opener than the closer. As far as the line to base it off of, it used to be, what, Tuesday or Wednesday's Pinnacle lines? That way the early action wasn't considered and the lines were hammered into place a little bit. There was discussion about this last season here. A credit shop sends me a schedule with Tuesday's lines every week, so I just use that because it's all I have time for. The most important thing is to use the same benchmark every week so you have consistency.
