The Aftermath of USC/Utah and the changing of the score 2 hours after the game ended

The Aftermath of USC/Utah and the changing of the score 2 hours after the game ended 17-14 USC final Two hours later 23-14 USC final Game closed USC -8. I WILL say some books got destroyed on this with unclear house rules. AMAZINGLY the MGM had the obvious crystal clear rule "We do not recognize overturns/score changes after a game is final".............Ok a little ambiguous, as to what 'final' means, but I think it's clear if the crowd and players leave, what the Scoreboard reads IS the final. MGM paid the Utah bettors, and that was it. Anyone reading their rules clearly saw they had no case. Why the hell Vegas sports book managers don't realize the blizzard of liability/PR problems they have with a dumb rule is beyond me. A dumb rule is "we do not recognize any overturns/score changes after the date of the game". DOH!!! This implies you DO recognzise them THE DAY OF THE GAME.......and of course, that is ridiculous! You have already paid out 75% of the winning tickets on Utah, you simply cannot turn around and pay USC! Now, offshore books CAN use this rule, since they can past post the 'winners' and turn them back into losers, but VEgas cannot go by this rule. Bottom line, A+ to the MGM for having the obvious "right"rule in place. Also A+ to the many books like Jerry's Nugget and Station than simply paid both sides out. F to the consultants to the books and the managers of the books with rules that weren't the same as the MGM. If you pay tickets immediately, you have to only recognize immediate overturns. THis is so obvious, it is SHOCKING to me the books never realized the liability they were hit with. JUST IMAGINE if this was a Super Bowl ! CAn someone say "Gaming Commmission please?"
CAn someone say "Gaming Commmission please?" ok - I'll say it - "Gaming Commmission please?"
