Charlie J NCAA Totals Charlie sent out seven totals this week, two of which he says
are off by 5-6 points from the totals he made for the games.
It's been requested that I put up all his preferences whether
they have moved a lot or not. This week most are in the ballpark
of what was sent out. I like Charlies totals because he starts with
his raw number and then tweaks them based on injury, weather
and other factors. Many guys who do totals go with more of
a raw number so these serve as a better reference point IMO.
110 BYU/Boise UN 62
-I also bet this game UN 63 earlier this week but this line has moved
now and sits as high as 61.5 and as low as 60.5. 1H UN 31 is widely
available and a decent option. I'm not optimistic that waiting will get you
a better number even though it's the only game tonight and on TV.
111 GTech/VA OV 47.5
-This number is widely available and may even be heading lower.
A few 48s out there at the squarer shops. 1H OV 23.5 is a good
option if looking to bet this total but also suggests this game may
be dropping.
150 Utah/USC UN 54
-Also took this one earlier in the week. 54 is everywhere.
USC defense is a unit you can hang your hat on in certain weeks.
The last egg they laid cost Lane Kiffin his job. I lean to throwing
out that performance or at least minimizing the weight it's
given. Team was in a bad place at that particular time.
173 Stanf/Org St OV 56
-Game took a slight tick up to 56.5. Contrasting styles and
Charlie is siding with the home team to dictate the tempo.
189 SCar/Miz OV 53
SCar QB Connor Shaw appears to not be ready for this game.
Game opened 52.5 and I see as high as 54 offshore so this one is
moving up. There are still a few 52.5s out there. MGM and Treasure
Island have 52.5 in LV. At a couple front-runner books offshore
the game is at 54. 1H OV 26 is decent alternative.
205 Fresno/SD ST OV 62
-This is the first of the two games that Charlie has as being
off by 5-6 pts. No arguing that Fresno can sometimes get there
all on their own and they've put up big road scores more than once.
Line is mostly 62 so this number is there if you like it. The split
of 1H OV 31 is fair. Maybe it shouldn't be because Fresno often lights
it up in the 1H.
207 Col St/Haw OV 56.5
-Here is the second game. Game saw movement on the side already.
Took +4 with Hawaii yesterday morning and the line moved later
in the day. Best available is at CRIS OV 55 -111. Most of LV has 56.
Guessing the weather will be just fine. Just a hunch.
