Hows that running it up? His offense spent the whole first half sputtering and only scored on schematic mistakes the Cal players created by their lack of focus. The amount of stops Pendergast D made the first half should have been enough to spread out over the course of a game. Cal had more size and better athletes and yet again were outcoached. After the last TD (at 14:30 mark) they ran 9 offensive plays. 8 were run, 1 pass on 3rd and 11. Not only did they run zone on all those runs, Kelly didn't even allow Thomas to read the play, straight zone gives. Hardly running up the score. Could have at least let Thomas make the read on the backside end and prolly break off a 12 play drive and run out the clock from the 6 minute mark. But ye i think he is comparative to Stoops the way they manipulate the BCS system to elevate their programs
