College Football picks thread 2011

206) MTSU -3 over Laffers 1% play
Tonight: 101) The Men of Troy/FIU OVER 54.5 -110 1% play Pinny and clones. Both teams laid eggs last game out is why IMO this total has been held down. Prior to that, Troy games: 784,877,1061 yards. FIU: 793,952,833. Last 3 years they have played: 87,75,56 points. Should be tons of passing. Good Luck
2nd H FIu -4 0.75% play
800 yards in FIU/Troy at end of regulation.

never seen more 3rd and 20+ yards. horrible Troy play calling in OT. strange game.
149) B Green -4 over Kent State, 1% play What can you say about Kent State. In division 1A games they have scored 45 points all year in those 6 games. BG off 3 tough games vs Temple, Toledo, and W Mich where they atleast eclipsed the 300 yd mark in all 3. KSU has 244,70,200 in their last 3 vs cupcakes (Miami OH, NIU, and the bobcats). Now KSU is juggling who will start at QB....
157) Tulane +17 -113 over EC Pirates, 1% play, pinny and clones ECU: 504-420 vs Navy 524-233 vs Memphis 284-572 vs UH Green Wave: 459-289 vs Memphis. 365-390 vs UTEP 471-390 vs Syracuse. The problem of course is they have had 9 TOs in those 3 games. https://www.nola.com/tulane/index.ssf/2011/10/green_wave_falls_to_lowly_memp.html “I think coming out of this game, a lot of people will say that it’s the same team,” Hutson said. “They came out gave the same effort and came out with the same result, and that’s fine. It will be said. But when I look in the young men’s eyes, and talking to them in the locker room after that, I think there was a change in their attitude. I think there was a change in their effort. “They did come out with enthusiasm, they did come out playing hard, and they never gave up at the end of the game.” Tulane again had teased its faithful into hope. The Green Wave (2-6, 1-3 C-USA) fought back to gain a three-point lead in the second half. Tulane worked in four-receiver sets in varying tempos, plying shifty tailback Orleans Darwka into receiving routes and back into traditional runs. Darkwa finished with a career-high seven receptions for 112 yards and a season-best 196 all-purpose yards.
187) OU -13 (-109 at pinny) vs Kansas State, 1% play Kansas St outyarded in 4 out of last 5 games. Smoke and mirrors vs a caged animal this week. https://newsok.com/ou-football-team-holds-players-only-meeting/article/3616976?custom_click=lead_story_title Check this Stoops press conference out, he might be just a tad pissed. This game has "woodshed" written all over it.
1103) Pitt/UConn OVER 21, 1st Half. 1% play
163) Buffalo +4.5 over Miami, OH 0.75% play smaller play due to missing the good line. Plain and simple Buffalo has not been able to step up vs tough competition. However vs the dregs they have fared well and are very capable of putting points on board. Buffalo found itself a 31-30 loser, despite a 572-328 advantage in total offense and an astounding 33-15 edge in first downs. In the end, Buffalo's five turnovers, including some crucial miscues on special teams, spelled the one point difference in a loss to the Huskies, who improved to 5-3 overall and 3-1 in the MAC. Buffalo lost despite one of its finest efforts on offense since joining the MAC in 1999. Senior quarterback Chazz Anderson had an all-time record-breaking afternoon. He completed a school-record 35 passes (on 53 attempts, the fourth highest-total in school history) for a Division I-A record 404 yards, the eighth best total in school history. On the other side of the coin--- Miami, OH. https://www.oxfordpress.com/oxford-sports/miami-university-redhawks/learning-process-continues-for-miami-1273577.html But the RedHawks do have some serious issues: injuries, especially on the defensive line, the least effective running game in the nation and an inability to keep from falling behind in the first half.
