College Football picks thread 2011
Does everyone forget EJ MAnuel is OUT! Did you see that kid they had as his backup. he was like 135lbs soaking wet. looked like he should be slinging passes for junior varsity. Come on. FSU may come out strong, but this qb is not ready for this type of competition.
I was actually impressed with how Trickett performed being thrown into the fire against a top defense. The kid has a good arm and aside from the pick he was making some good decisions. The pressure he dealt with from Oklahoma is far worse than anything Clemson has.
Clemson now uses that hyper-pace on offense. Therefore, it creates more snaps and series for each team during a game. Inflates Total Yards stats, however the YPC numbers the Clemson defense is yielding is too high.
Yes love the new offense, but FSU D gave a top 3 offense (Oklahomer) fits. IMO Tajh Boyd is nowhere near Landry Jones, and is not ready for the step up yet. We shall see.
Does everyone forget EJ MAnuel is OUT!
This is the 1st thing I said in my OP. EJ Manuel yes is questionable, we will know more after the MRI today. IMO Trickett will not be a big downgrade in this game. I feel we will see FSU run it down the throats of Clemson. After the mighty powerhouse of Wofford ran for 4.7ypc, the big bullies from Troy ran for 4.6 ypc, and then last week Auburn just gashed Clemson for 6.2 ypc. I look for a workman type effort out of lightweight Trickett and expect him to just manage the game. Tajh Boyd will found it much harder sledding vs Seminoles. Good Luck
Dude, What are you doing on the Fl St game now? After a 5 pt move I am tempted to bet a bit more. FSU was Kirk Herbstreit's underdog of the week to win on the road and he is actually not that bad most of the time. He said same thing you did that FSU could run against these guys.
