College Football WEek 2, (9/17 weekend picks)

Good point by Joel and it reminds me of a line I've been told before. I remember a really smart sports bettor out here used to always say when discussing professional handicappers at the beginning of the year "If they aren't winning now.......oh boy.......when do they win?" We're 3 weeks in and it is getting to close to that stage. Put Fez's comments from last year (where he was clear that he would stop betting college football at some point in the year and focus on other things + these comments below.......perhaps said in the heat of the moment but nonetheless....college football might be a wrap. Remember----good gamblers know when to walk away too.
Remember----good gamblers know when to walk away too.
This is not directed towards anyone....I'm just saying: It is week 3, it is not late in the season. It is the absolute best time of the season in CFB to be winning. Week 7 or 8 is where it gets dicey IMO. It is September, it is CLOBBERING TIME. COME ON now. Fezzik is not chosing to NOT focus on CFB because it is week 3, I can guarantee you that. He might have other reasons to focus more on the NFL, but I can assure you it is not because it is week 3 in CFB. Good Luck to all.
I have all summer to get the jump on College and NFL lines. NOW, I've got a week and 150 teams. There is no wasy 1 person has the ability to do 150 teams with any good results. THe easy conclusion is to actively handicap the handicapping sharp people I know in college football. The problem is the game has passed many of them by. Still, this IS the correct approach IMO..........time permitting. Bottom line, I understand the NFL. I have had the best documented results in the NFL. THAT is were I will personally pour my hours into, even though it is a tougher game to beat..........becausse it is most certainly beatable and has the market liquidity.
It's all got to do with value, guys. I had a great tout that had on believable edge with 1AA and below college football to the point where Dimes was limiting my first shot to $150 per and then they would move the line 2 points and I'd bang them again. This guy was wired into a market that no one was paying any attention to- value. Then he fell off a cliff. All due respect to you guys that do a lot of homework and place your stuff out there for people to mull over, but if you can find me a game in the CFL, or as Alf did with the WWF or what it was he was on to, that's where the money is. I agree with Fez, college football a lot tougher than pros to keep on top of- and my handicapping skills are limited, even as they grow. God bless Fez and the Dude and Londo and larryk and Chicago ( can't think of your handle). Your ideas help me grow. And increase bankroll. And it's not just a blind bet when I read you- I might disagree and not play it, but I love to read it. Especially analysis. And tell Alf we miss him. And hope he is well and comes back soon!
