362 Kansas -10 vs La Tech
-So last week we saw just how bad La Tech is. They're pretty bad.
Losing on their home field to Tulane and looking awful doing it was
enough for Phil Steele to make Kansas his best play of the week.
New coach, only 8 returning starters and an 0-3 ATS start for La Tech
makes them the play-against punching bag. Get the feeling that last
week was the soft spot though. La Tech was LAYING a TD+ but that
was vs a team that would be tough to steer your followers to.
Kansas at home is a much easier sell then The Green Wave on the road.
Game opened 9. Now it's 10 and rising. If you like this, take the -10
now because it's probably going just one direction.
354 Houston -2.5 vs Rice
-No stale lines here. IF you like this game you are getting a good number
because this opened Hou -4 but money on Rice has sent it down to -2.5.
It's being played in Reliant Stadium. Houston had last week off and has
UTSA on deck. Problem here is there are QB issues on both sides entering the
week so need to be on top of that before deciding anything. Early money
says they like the Owls situation. Phil reminds us that his 1996 GOY Winner
was on Houston so you simply MUST factor that in. A game played 17 years
ago can have a significant impact on these players who were in diapers then.
324 Wisconsin -24 vs Purdue
-Wisconsin feeling cheated after game in Tempe. Purdue may be feeling
a bit better about themselves after hanging tough with Notre Dame. Last
time on road though Purdue got woodshedded by Cincy. A narrow win at
home vs Ind St and then the ND game at home and now back on the road.
Game opened 22.5, now at 24 most spots.
These last three are classified as Other plays:
320 Duke +4
-Line has moved a bunch. Opened getting 6, now you get just 4.
350 USC -6
-Line has improved. Opened a heavy 7, now down to -6. USC defense
vs mobile Utah St QB Keeton is the big match-up. Trojans no joke on D.
374 FAU +4 vs MTSU
-Line hasn't moved much. Home opener for FAU. Action has come in on UN
as both offenses have been unimpressive to date.
