PStone 3 CFB selections for 9/17 Don't have much time for in-depth writeups, but provide brief explanation:
#162 Ohio minus 3 _ This is a difficult spot for the Marshall Thundering Herd who upset Southern Miss at home in a conference game last week despite a huge yardage disadvantage and have a home game against nationally-ranked Virginia Tech on deck. Plus Marshall has defeated Ohio in each of the last two seasons by 4 and 1 points, perhaps giving the Bobcats an added edge.
#170 Kansas State UNDER 46.5 _ The Wildcats scored a whopping 10 points in their opener against rugged Eastern Kentucky and are extremely limited in the passing game with run-first Klein at quarterback. Kent State, meanwhile, plays some pretty solid defense, but couldn't score in Mattamoros with a wad of hundies sticking out of its pocket.
#180 BYU UNDER 46.5 _ These rivals certainly are more proficient on the defensive side of the ball and both possess experienced quarterbacks who should be able to avoid the type of turnovers that can push games over the number in college football. Although Utah receiver Devonte Christopher is coming off an impressive showing against Southern Cal, both clubs lack playmakers who can go the distance on any play.
