Cantor "$50 ON US" Promotion - $200-$250 in EV

Cantor "$50 ON US" Promotion - $200-$250 in EV Cantor Gaming runs seven sports books in Las Vegas: M Resort Palms Tropicana Venetian/Palazzo Hard Rock Cosmopolitan Silverton -an 8th book exists at the Atlantis Casino Resort in Nassau Bahamas Each book uses the same line and the system is connected for line moves etc. When it comes to their Mobile offerings, they treat each place as if it is a separate entity in that you must open an account at each if you want to deposit there to bet sports OR play in the Mobile Casino. Having asked the supervisors at each of the seven books, I can report that no sign-up or deposit incentives for the 2013 season will be available on the sports side. On the Mobile Casino there is an incentive to deposit however, and it's available at each of the seven Cantor locations thru Oct 1. In other words, you can hit this deal seven times. Once at each Cantor. "$50 On US" Mobile Gaming Promotion Here's how it works: Deposit a minimum of $50 in the Mobile Casino. Promotion is open to new accounts as well as those having an existing account. Play in the mobile casino and if you lose the $50, go claim the rebate bonus. $50 in promotional credits will be loaded to your account. You must play it through one time before cashing out. Best strategy for playing this is to play high variance games on the initial play and then low variance on the rebate. We have experimented with a couple games and have found Keno to be a good option on the initial play. The way the math works on this deal is that you want to take a shot of doubling or tripling your $50 before calling it quits or bust out. Keno is a good vehicle for this as it has the all or nothing characteristic that works best. We experimented with a 2 spot and 3 spot for this and bet so that any hit would be enough to take the profit and run. The simplest strategy is to play a 2spot. A 2spot pays 15-1 so we just bet $10 per game for 5 games. Any hit will pull in $150 and you're done with $100 - $140 in profit. If you bust out, go get the rebate and then play it off on something you can grind most of your money back on. We played $5 blackjack but 25cent or 50cent VP would work similarly well. Once you play the $50 through you can cash out and assess your result. We averaged a profit of $38 per play on this promo and conservatively put the EV at $35 per casino. Do it at all 7 locations and you have at least $200 in EV and upwards of $250 if you play to a high enough stop-win. Winning $100 seems a reasonable target for a stop win on this. The sign-up, initial play and rebate process takes approx 30 minutes. With 7 available venues, it's the equivalent of a $200+EV coupon run.
Rumor has it the TROP CANTOR does not participate in this promo, can anyone confirm if this is true or not? Frank, or others, do you feel confident that the 5 $10 keno plays are the optimum strategy? Thanks, -FH-
Regarding the optimum strategy, there are three questions there, I think. One is whether high variance plays are best. The second is, if they are, what is the highest variance available play? I know this doesn't add much to the discussion, but Keno seems to make the most sense. Finally, would 5 $10 2/3-spot tickets be best? I would do 1 $50 one because it is faster, but there must be an obvious reason not to do it this way that I am missing. Perhaps it is easier to win with 5 tickets, and then you don't have to spend the time on using the freeplay?
Ok, just completed my Cantor rounds this afternoon, the results of each property were .......... HARD ROCK- $83 profit PALMS- $92 profit SILVERTON- $61 profit COSMO- Even THE M- $56 profit VENETIAN- $28 profit TOTAL --- $320 profit I played slightly more conservative than the suggested 5 $10 two-spots and went with 10 $5 two-spots...........I was pleased with the results considering the small effort and little risk. -FH-

Pretty good results Fish. Looks like you must have hit your Keno 2spot on 4 of the 6 plays. There is another game on there that is sort of a reverse-Keno. I did not take the time to figure out how useful it would be because I was already very familiar with using Keno for exploiting these Joel, Keno is just a very simple way to do this and get a big pct of the potential EV. You are correct that one $50 ticket would be slightly better but the max bet is $10 on Keno and that's why we went with 5 @ $10 per game.
This deal is back on until Jan 31st. All venues have it apparently but some language has been added to the rules warning against double-dipping via either opening duplicate accounts or other nefarious methods. Play fair. This is a good deal and you don't want to get excluded from Cantor and miss what may become available in 2014. Bringing your wife to play it is OK. Bringing your neighbors library card in as ID and trying to go for seconds is not.
Tropicana is not participating in the promo this time around. Have confirmed Cosmo, Silverton, Venetian, M and Hard Rock so far.
