LVASports Contest Leader

LVASports Contest Leader After four weeks the leader is Blair Rodman with 14 points. He's followed by Donald Foltz with 12. Blair's performance would put him in a tie for fourth in the SuperContest at LVH, where the leader there has 15.5 points (and there's a bias for counting ties that benefits the SuperContest players). Fezzik currently has 8 points in the SuperContest, which puts 10 LVASports players ahead of him and currently in position to get a free month added to their memberships. With 13 weeks remaining, there's still plenty of time to make up a lot of ground or even get into the money if you join the LVASports contest now. Here's a little incentive. We haven't had a 5-0 week yet. Anyone who gets one this week wins a free LVA online membership with a choice of the 2013 or 2014 Member Rewards Book ($37 value).
AC, what is the difference in the way ties are scored between the LVASports Contest and the SuperContest?
LVH top 5 consensus picks have gone 3-16-1 so far. That's tough to do no matter how you try and go about it. If you are sitting at .500 there you are still very much alive. This weeks top 5 picks at LVH are: 1. NE +2 2. Ind +3 3. Den -7.5 4. KC -2.5 5. Hou +6.5 Was surprised so many took Denver.
The difference is the LVH credits you 1/2 pt for a tie. In the LVA contest ties are just disregarded. There is no way to set the contest to count them for 1/2 pt or I would have. On average, an LVH contestant gets 2-3 pushes a year so by years end maybe 1.25 pts higher on average will be an LVH record vs an LVA record. It's Fezziks built in advantage. You're basically laying 1 pt vs Fezzik in the Fezzik Challenge.

Top 5 consesus picks are now 5-19-1
I and three others made 4s. No 5s again. Blair dumped with a 1. Wide open now.
Blair Rodman leads with 15. Donald Foltz and Martin Bissett have 14. Let's go with a free copy of The Raiser's Edge by ElKY for any 5-0s this week. That's a $35 book, so anyone who hasn't been playing has equity to join in late.
5-0 baby!!!!
Congrats Fishhead....those were all solid picks
That's our first 5-0. A copy of The Raiser's Edge is on the way. This week's 5-0 prize is a copy of Kill Phil, signed by Blair Rodman. Donald Foltz is leading the contest with 18 points, based on his Thursday-night winner. Fezzik has 14 at LVH, which means that eight of us are ahead of him.
