LVASports Contest Leader

This week's 5-0 prize is a set of Bob Dancer Video Poker Strategy Cards. They sell for $50.
Mike Castellana went 5-0 last week. H Dunbar and Joel Edelman are tied for the contest lead with 37. In the Fezzik Challenge, 12 of us are ahead of Fezzik's 29.5 in the SuperContest. The prize this week for a 5-0 is a copy of our book Gambling Wizards, by Richard Munchkin.
Martin Bissett and Jim Orr went 5-0 last week. Please send me your addresses at [email protected] so we can get you your books. H. Dunbar continues to lead with 41, followed closely by Joel Edelman and Blair Rodman, each with 40. The prize this week for a 5-0 is the book Gambling 102 by Michael Shackleford.
This is for the money -- $600 to first, $300 second, and $100 third. H. Dunbar leads with 44. Joel Edelman and Blair Rodman have 44. Frank and I are trying to protect our investment with 43 each. And Jeff Struthers and Tom Mills are within range with 42 each. There've been some big line moves spicing things up.

I'm surprised the picks were locked by 12:37pm. I thought you could pick almost until the first Sunday game started. I was just trying to change 1 and possibly 2 picks, so I'm probably either going to be very aggravated or very happy. I would have dumped Buf and taken SD-9.5. (current line is SD-10.5).

Okay, thanks, Larry. This must be the first time I tried to check lines that late. --Dunbar
I outthought myself when I tried to level you and Blair. Should have taken St. Louis. Oh well. Good luck to all. Note the discrepancy between Frank and Anthony here: Frank implies they are ineligible for prizes, while I infer from Anthony's comments that if he or Frank finish in the Top 3 that the prize is forfeited. Would appreciate clarification :)
The $1000 was guaranteed and Anthony and I were not eligible for prizes. The final standings were not affected as we both tied for 4th and the prizes are for 1-3. Had we placed higher the money would have just gone to the next contestant after us. Thanks to all for playing and I will follow up with a little synopsis and the list of those who Beat Fezzik. Congratulations to Dunbar who edged out Joel for first place. Blair came in third. The prizes of $600, $300 and $100 will be sent out as soon as addresses are PMed to either myself or Anthony. Thanks, Frank. Thank you and AC for offering and running the contest. I found the last couple of weeks surprisingly exciting and downright nerve wracking. Example: Watching my Buffalo +9 pick yesterday, I was delighted when they scored late to close the gap to 7. But it only took NE 55 seconds to make it a 14 pt game again. I thought Joel and Blair tied for 2nd with 47 pts each. Was a tiebreaker used to separate them? I told myself a few weeks ago that if I won this contest, I'd return a little value by sharing a useful bit of horsebetting info that I've never seen written up anywhere. I'll post it in the next couple of weeks. It concerns occasional opportunities to create a guaranteed win. --Dunbar
