Suggestions for TROP 20% monthly rebate promo? Do not believe this applies to VP, but will try to find out for certain this week, even if so, believe that certain machines will not qualify. I absolutely love the VIP parking spots at the Trop, in additional to incredibly easy access to the Tropicana, it also provides easy access for the MGM sportsbook. :cool: -FH-

Will get in there to check this out, possibly later tonight. The signs all over town make this a not-so-secret deal so better sooner then later if it is playable. Obviously some big slots for a short spurt are a good way to go. I have an idea or two for other options. Will follow up tomorrow.

Checked it out Thurs night. VP and Keno are not allowed so it's just slots. The higher the denom the better if you are strictly playing the rebate angle, which I'm not so sure is even worth it. They have a few $100 2coin machines that probably have about a 5% hold. You'd be losing $10 or so in EV per spin. Against the advice of my trusted slot advisor, I decided to take a very brief shot at one of these machines. Played about 20 spins and bailed when I pulled ahead by $600. This was no fun and I don't advise anyone playing this rebate in any way other then as a perk resulting from your normal play. Of course if you find something that is break-even or better then it's a great deal.

Although this rebate turned out to be one that was of value only as an incidental item, there are other good deals at the Trop right now. For locals there are a number of perks as Anthony detailed in his column for Seven magazine this week. All of ACs 'The Deal" columns get posted here if you don't have access to the mag.
