The 50,000th question about the Palms MRB Coupon

Since my last stay at the Palms they have now added a $15 resort fee ( which includes a $15 free drink coupon....whooooo! Need a free drink coupon in Vegas like I need a hole in the head....anyway). Any idea if the 50% will apply to that resort fee? If no one knows I'll let you know in a few weeks....got a room
For $40; half off = $20 room at the palms...not too shabby IMHO.(even with stupid fee)

Btw, the reason I ask is I usually room charge all my food and try to get my bill as close to $100 as possible to maximize the coupon.

So the gripping answer to my own question is......I still don't know.

So I go to check out today. (Room was booked at $44 a night, for one night. Upgrade to junior suite for no apparent reason. Not complaining)

Me: So I want to apply my coupon to my room rate and room charges (about $33 in food).

Clerk: Your room was booked through a third party, so I can't adjust the rate.

Me: I used palms.com

Clerk: But we use vegas.com, so that's what you used, you just couldn't tell. But it looks like you have a $15 resort fee and $33 in food, for $48. How about I zero out your balance with the coupon.

Me: Sounds perfect.

Clerk: Here's your receipt, your charges are $0 for your stay.

In sum, it sounds like he was very generous with the coupon, and excercised some discretion, as he have me 100% off my balance. It sounds like the resort fee can be included, but your mileage may vary!
