50% coupon at the Palms is a bust

I tried using the 50% off coupon for merchandise but was refused. Didn't feel right about the place so I went back to the Rio to use the buffet coupon there. I've used it for merchandise before without a problem. So why now?

You mean at the gift shop off the casino floor? I've used mine there before.

It's not specified that it can be used in the gift shop. If someone let you use it in the past, then good, but it's not reasonable to be disgruntled when someone else abides by the rules and refuses it.

the Palms has jerked us around so many times on issues including the use of the coupon that we just don't go there anymore and we live only a few blocks away

We live in LV too and the coupon has been pretty much useless since Garduno's left as we used it for the Sunday brunch.

We are actually staying there Sun/Mon this week and I just read in another thread that if you get a discounted room rate you can't use it for that either. I'm not sure who the Palms is marketing to, but they lost the hip factor to the Cosmo and others, they don't do conventions and most of the locals I know won't take the time to walk across the street from the Gold Coast to give them any action.

I guess its like anything else in Vegas, it's a gamble trying to find a winner.

If you're having trouble redeeming the coupon AT THE VENUES specified on the ticket, that's one thing. If you're trying to use it elsewhere on property they're not obliged to take it - but you could ask the Players Club or a casino host if they can help you use it in some other way? They might have some discretion. Last time I went I used mine on a spa treatment. Wasn't the cheapest spa treatment out there, but did bring the price down to an affordable level.

Spa no longer accepts the coupon. The only way I have figured out how to use it is by having dinner at one of their venues and charge to the room. As long as you spend 100 bucks you will get full value for the coupon.
