Ellis Island $10 slot play coupon question

Does anyone know how the Ellis Island $10 slot play coupon work? More specifically, if someone plays $10 in a slot/video poker machine and ends up a net winner will Ellis Island still put $10 of slot play on the person's slot card? I was there in February 2013 and ended up with a small net win under $100 after playing only $10 so I didn't redeem the coupon figuring that they would only reimburse losses.
I think its a win or lose deal. In other words your outcome does not matter. What does matter is that you put at least $10 through a qualifying machine. It used to be that your free play appeared 24 hours later. I haven't done it yet this year so this info is a little dated. If you presented your coupon your free slot play is supposed to remain on your card for one year. At least that I was told at the slot club.
My wife and I have done this deal for the last two years. You have to play at least $10 through a machine(win or lose). Then you go to the club desk and they verify that you played $10 and you give them your coupon. Then the next day(24 hours) you go back and play the $10 that's loaded onto your card.
The coupon changed this year. You present to coupon prior to play and upon running $10 through the machine you will be entered into a spin that nets anywhere from $10 - $100 in free play. You get the points same day

Yes, I was curious to see how my spin would result. However, prior to playing I went up to the slot booth to activate the coupon. The woman instructed me to play at least $10 first then go back to activate the coupon but since I ended up a net winner I figured that I would save the coupon for future time when I lost money. I guess I could have gone back and inquired about it but instead I went to eat the king cut prime rib using the 50% off dining coupon. I think the regular price was $13.99 and it comes with their homemade root beer (or brewed beer). It came with a side salad (or soup), I chose mashed potatos with gravy, a hot veggie, and dinner roll. $7.00 for a prime rib meal was quite a bargain. I'm aware that dining there in the past involved risk but I took the chance and survived (lol).

So if you have both the LVA and the ACG coupon, do you get to spin twice after running $10 through for both, or do you need to do these on separate days, or can you only do one? Thanks!
You can use both on the same day after playing $20 through. However, the ACG coupon is the same as before where it takes 24-hr for the $10 FP to be credited to your account. The FP spin on the kiosk is only for the MRB coupon.
FWIW, I got $20 FP on my spin.
Interesting, and confusing at the same time. But that is ok, I am a coupon hound and don 't mind playing by their rules...
Thanks for the update Grasp. We have both books and plan on doing both deals.
