Ellis Island Steak Special AND Coupon AND Slot Credit

4 of us with 2 LVA Coupon Books went off to Ellis Island for the Steak Special. Here is how it went:
- Joined Slot Club $10 new Member Promo x4 people = +$40
- Turned in Coupons for $10 free play if we spent $10 in slots (next day) 2x $10= +$20

While waiting for our dinner we used one of the LVA coupons for 6 free drinks that the four of us shared.

- Ordered the $7.95 Steak Special x4 and casually asked if we could use the LVA 2 for 1 Dinner Coupons on the Steaks..... The waiter said sure and all 4 of us dined on a really great Steak for about $18 (yeah, TOTAL for 4 people ((plus a very generous tip)).

As best I can figure, we came out almost $100 ahead after "Donating" $20 of our own cash to the slot machines.

Best yet, We still have the 2 for 1 BBQ Coupons and $20 in free slot play credit if we go back later this week!!!
Dang! I have never heard of them letting you use the 2/1 for steak.....we'll have to try in August!
Good one. Did you ask up front if they'd take the coupon for the steak special?

Thanks for sharing!
I've never heard being able to use the 241 with the special. You got lucky

I told the waiter that we all wanted the special and asked ...." we've got these coupons, is there any chance that we can use them?".
:D
I've been using them for a number of years on the Special without a problem. I sure miss the Matchplay that used to be on The paper place mats.
That's good news. No longer offering the matchplay coupon is a downgrade. Had a number of times that coupon would pay for meal.
We got them to take ACG 2for1 coupon, at Ellis Island, on the special as well....well wife got something more expensive and they took off my steak special...still as good as usual.
There is a text "ellis" to 56242 promo for $5 that replaced the placemats....i tried it but it didnt work, might not have my phone registered to my account. Used 4 free drink coupon from ACG and 6 free drinks from LVA. Not bad and they got rid of the snarky female bartenders, that would ignore you if you had coupons, that were there a few years back.
The only part I didnt like was having to come back the next day for your freeplay. I did turn $20 into $100 on the quick quads 3 line VP, not bad while having free drinks and waiting for dinner.

The only meal we got that was better was prime rib at magnolias at the four queens on fremont st. They had a 2for1 coupon for new players, as well as a $10 BJ matchplay, BJ free ace (up to $10) which both my wife and I used and won, $10 free slot play for playing $10 after signup, $10 free slotplay for coupon (LVA or ACG i forget which), free pack of cards for new signup, and I played 50 points and got free t-shirt.
They had a bank of 9/6 JOB and after we sat down a lady to our left was dealt a royal, then while shes waiting for her payout a guy to my right hits a royal, I really wanted to join the club but to no avail. Then to top it off the lady gets paid for her royal and plays BP and hits the aces for $2000. our machines were not as forthcoming, so after a while we gave up, but what are the odds on 2 people hitting royals on the same bank within 5 minutes of one another?!?...nevermind don't answer that. Anyway if your downtown try four queens for a new signup, get your coupon sheet and a great prime rib dinner.
The bigger question was what was the chance a third would hit......we all know it is the sme as if no one had hit!
