Explanation about Terribles $100 coupon?

I tried to get an explanation as to why it states in the LVA membership section of ShopLVA -This is a special offer for LVA members only. It's good whether you're local or out-of-state, a new or existing players club member, and even if you've played it before. All I got was an answer that you can only do the coupon once.
OK, but what does that statement mean then? Anyone have an idea? Deb
When I did it in April the woman in the booth asked if I had done it before. I had not. She then looked up my name in a notebook, and added my name to it. So evidently they do keep a list, but not on a computer. Don't know what they do if someone misplaces the notebook!
I'll take a shot at this. . .

That portion of the statement is an error.

Hey Debra,

If I'm remembering correctly, that statement had to do with the fact that in (I guess) 2009, I think that there had been a similar promotion from another coupon source.

And so since the Las Vegas Advisor was a different coupon source from the source that previously offered the Terrible's $100 Loss Rebate promotion, that they were allowing LVAers who had previously used the other coupon offer to use this one as well.

It might be like the way that we can use (at least at times and depending on the casino) both a coupon from the LVA's MRB as well as a coupon from the ACG.

Edited To Add: I have now been able to track down something that comfirms what I claimed above.

In a thread from the LVA Gambling Message Board called "Terrible's $100 Coupon" which was created on 11/28/2010 by rkazmier, there is a post from Grasp on 12/16/2010 which says that Anthony Curtis had said in an earlier issue of the LVA that this promotion had been offered before through a different source and that Terrible's was letting LVAers who had used the previous offer from the other source to use the LVA offer as well.

All right group, I have done some more digging and I found the source of what Debra underlined which she was questioning.

In the October 2010 issue of the LVA, there is an article called "MROs Kick-Off With A Bang" which says (among other things), "This is a special offer for LVA members only. It's good whether you're local or out-of-state, a new or existing Terrible's players club member, and even if you've played it before. Terribles has marketed this promotion in a few other spots and there's a strict one-play-only rule, but they're allowing LVA members to play it again."

And so this definitely means that the only LVAers who can use this Terrible's promotion again are people who had quite a while ago used the same promotion from one of the other sources that offered the promotion.

I hope that this straightens this all out!

Thanks Recvp! That makes sense, now, though I don't know why I had to get the explanation from a paying member, and not from LVA staff, as I think it was a valid observation, and a statement that certainly could use some clearing up!

Thanks again. Deb
You're very welcome, Debra!

I may have answered it first because first of all you asked it on a weekend (when the offices are closed), and second of all this question wasn't in the Ask the LVA staff section (which they likely check more often than they check this coupon section).

Actually, i did ask it in the Ask LVA staff a full week before I posted it here. No biggie, just wanted to clear that up! Deb
