Golden Gate shrimp cocktail no more

I read at AccessVegas.com that the Golden Gate has closed their deli to accommodate their expansion. While they are still serving the shrimp cocktail in their Dupar's restaurant 24/7, The price has been quietly raised to $2.99. My wife and I loved going Downtown for this top ten deal. What have others heard.
I was there last Sunday night and got a large order. I couldn't tell you the price, we had a large group and just pooled our moneys together. The shrimp were quite tasty though. Still worth the $2.99 or $3.99 that I did pay.
You're missing the point. They're supposed to be 99 cents. With free crackers.
Oh the humanity, the humanity! For me it was a ritual while staying downtown to get the 99 cent special, crackers and listen to the piano player at the Golden Gate.

Nooooooooooooooooooo!
DuPars is expensive. Nevermind the price increase of the shrimp - you'll likely pay that much again if you want a Coke with it.

Hopefully the deli closing is temporary.
The new deli is going to end up where the original Front Desk is.
Say it ain't so Joe!
is the construction still going on at the golden gate or can i get a shrimp cocktail at the bar for the normal price again?
I am curious like Meade18 is. Any updates?
