Just found a couple dozen old restaurant.com coupons

. . . as I was going through my "Vegas box" where I keep my stash of items as I plan for my next trip. (I'm packing now for my trip, which starts in 12 days!!)

The coupons are from 2010 and 2011. It feels like found money as many are for restaurants I was planning to visit, including ones at Palace Station (e.g., Broiler and Cabo) where I also have a food comp so I've now basically doubled the value of my food comp there.

Each of the coupons at the bottom says that the coupon does not expire but am curious as to whether any of you have used coupons that are a couple of years old and if you have had any problems.

Also, in two separate years I purchased coupons for the same restaurant. I know I can't use them more than once a month but if I give a coupon to some else could they use it or does the bar code somehow indicate that I am the actual "user" given that I purchased the coupon?

Thanks in advance for your comments.
Hey Now!
too funny, the other day I was checking my R.Com account, and I found a coupon from 2010 to Casa di Amore that I had given a friend who lives in Vegas that he never used. I had already bought one for this trip, but I printed it out anyway, our daughter is joining us. Hopefully she can use it while we are there. Let us know about the once a month thingy..
If I understand correctly, Only one certificate can be used at a table/party. Also can not be used with any other promotin.
That's correct. I'm trying to find out though if I give say a BB King Restaurant coupon (I have two) to my brother for him to use next week before I arrive in Vegas, will I be precluded from using the second coupon when I eat there a few days later.

Restaurant.com certificates state that they can be given as a gift so the restauraunt shouldn't have a problem with you using a certificate a few days later.
Hey Now!
we were going as 2 parties of 2..

You brother says "thanks" in advance for the BB King meal!!!
You're welcome.
I've used lots of restaurant.com coupies and tested the validation process. The restaurant does not care/monitor who is using what or when but will not let you use 2 coupons at one table.

To test this, I called the validation line (the one that says do not call unless you are a restaurant and validated a certificate for a restaurant that I did not plan on using. It is a authomated response, asks for the certificate # on the upper right corner of the coupon and then states the coupon is good and for what amount. That is all. No personal info.

I've used Hash House coupies 3 or 4 times on one 10 day trip before and last year we used them 3 days in a row at Hennesseys.

Have a Great Trip,
YaYa
