Mardi Gras MRB $10 slots matchplay coupon

Hi,

I just tried to use the Mardi Gras $10 slots matchplay coupon frome the MRB, but I was refused. The lady at the slotsclub claimed, the coupon was for new members only and not really needed because new members get that deal anyway.

The language on the back of the coupon says: "present this coupon and register for your Mardi Gras Slot Club card". I'm not sure if this means "new members only", because english is not my native language, but I thought all coupons in the MRB were supposed to be good for existing members. (Unlike the ACG coupons)

Any comments ?

that sucks. it does kind of sound like new members only. and paying for a MRB, with coupons you cant use, really sucks. I really hate it when a casino offers one of those $200 or $500 loss rebate offers and it is for new members only. and of course all of us regulars have already signed up at most of the casinos so we are not eligible.

It's not new members only. The employee didn't understand. The only thing they won't do is let you do both the new-member bonus and the LVA offer on the same day, so you have to stagger them. We're contacting the casino. And which coupons in the MRB that you can't use are you referring to? I'm interested to hear, since there are none like that and we've turned down some fantastic offers to preserve that status.

Anthony, I was saying if that were the case, ( if the boothling was correct), that it would suck. but as you pointed out, it was just a poorly trained worker as is often the case. it happens a lot with the palms coupon. its like a roll of the dice. if it is your lucky day, you get an employee that does not turn you down just because they can. thanks for the clarification, and as always, thanks for the work that you and your staff do.

thanks for your reply. To clarify: I already am a member at Mardi Gras.

On my way to the airport I tried again (Thursday around noon). I got a firm "new members only" response. At my request they even called the owner. (Michelle ???) Still "new members only". Apparently they don't even have a way of doing this for existing members.

I'm ok without this one little coupon. I won a nice amount of money off the other gambling coupons. Thanks for publishing the MRB.

Anything new on this coupon?

Where is Mardi Gras? I have never heard of it.

Mardi Gras is on Paradise Rd., just south of the Westgate. I brought this to the attention of the GM, who assures me that the problem has been corrected. I will check it out myself to make sure, hopefully some time this weekend.

We were just at the Mardi Gras and they refused the coupon and said that as a new member you get it anyway. So we signed up and took 20.00 out of there...so overall we were pleased and thanks to LVA we walked away with some of Mardi Gras money :-)

Has anyone tried showing them this thread on a smart phone?
