MRB Fitz BJ coupon?

Can somebody explain this coupon to me? On the front it says get out of hand free( push your bet on 22). On the back (of the coupon below it) it says bonus not paid on double down or pair splits. Maximum bonus payout not to exceed $25.

I've been playing BJ for years and dont understand this coupon. Had I not read the back, I would just figure that if I busted with a 22, I would push instead of losing my bet. But the back threw me for a loop. And to top it off, there was a printing error on the Fitz's coupons so the back of this coupon is on the coupon below it.

I would be willing to bet that many, if not all, of the pit bosses at the Fitz have no idea what the hell this coupon is about.
This has been addressed. MRB 2012 Printing Issue
I'm aware of the printing error, TanyaM. I still don't understand the coupon.
It means just what you said. If you bust with 22 you don't lose your bet, only it doesn't apply when you double down or split. That's all. It's a very valuable offer, worth about $22 in expected value.

Thanks Anthony. So I take it you leave this coupon on the table until you get your first bust 22. Then the dealer takes the coupon but not your bet. Correct?
You have to take the coupon to the players club and they give you the details to redeem, but that's the gist of how it works.

That's not the coupon I got when I redeemed it on 2/3. I got a "Get out of hand free" coupon instead. Same limits but works differently - after your first two cards are dealt, you can choose to redeem the coupon and push the hand. It's basically a souped-up version of surrender.

Your mileage may vary.

Wow, I think that's a LOT less valuable than the coupon Anthony describes. You're saying the coupon was only active for your first hand? So if, on my first hand, I stand on a pair of tens against a dealer 6, they'll take the coupon? That's not at all the deal I was expecting.

Five weeks into the new year, and Fitzgerald's is already backtracking on its MRB coupon?
That's what happened to me - told to go to the players club and got a get out your hand free coupon. Played $25 on first hand - got an A6 against a dealers 10, used the coupon, then played $5 a hand for 15 min and walked away with a $10 profit.

Pit manager wouldn't discuss the issue with me - didn't want to argue as this was not that bad a coupon anyway and you don't have to wait till you bust on a 22.

You can choose to use it on the hand you want, but only after the first two cards are dealt, and once the coupon is used you can't use it again. You don't have to use it on the first hand. Sorry for not being clear.

BTW, I wouldn't use it on A6 vs. 10. It's bad, but if you play more than a few hands, you'll certainly get worse (which is better for the coupon's value).
