MRB Fitz BJ coupon?

I think I would wait till I got a 16 vs. dealer 10. After all, this is the only hand I would surrender when surrender is offered.
Very interesting! Thanks for that information!

And so from what I'm now understanding about this "Get Out Of Your Hand Free" coupon, this coupon is better than if it were a Surrender coupon because with Surrender you would still lose one-half of your bet (unless the Dealer has a two-card 21 [where you would lose your entire bet])!

Here, instead of losing one-half of your bet, you are losing none of your bet! You are automatically Pushing instead of more likely losing the hand (if you use it at a more opportune time -- with a rotten hand versus a dealer's Powerful Up-Card). I wonder how much that is worth versus the Push With 22 original coupon?

So I want to make sure that you don't have to play any more hands beyond the one where you use this coupon. Is this the case?

I certainly would not recommend that move (unless that kind of a move was good for a Card Counter) with any Soft hand (a hand with an Ace in it as well as a Hard total of 9 or less) because the Ace is both 1 and 11 at the same time which would make A6 be both 7 and 17 at the same time giving you a completely free shot at at least one more card with no issue at all of going over 21.

You're correct about the mechanics of it. In this case, the dealer checks for blackjack before you use the coupon, so you can't squirm out of a blackjack.

And you're also correct that you don't have to play any more hands after playing the coupon.

Very good! Thanks for that. What were the best rules and number of decks that you could find there or did you just sit at whatever spot you could find?

I agree that it was not the best use of the coupon, but I wasn't planning on betting $25 - I was already a bit down on the trip, and well, was caught by surprise by the coupon.

I figured my betting $25 and surrendering my A6 was better than betting $10 and waiting for a hard 16 against a dealers 10 - it was a kinda hit and run thing - if I got a 20 or BJ obviously I would have waited (lol).
