Rampart denies ACG matchplay use after LVA coupie

We had the same thing happen to us over Labor Day weekend. The Pit Boss said it was 1 coupon per day regardless of source and/or amount. What really got to me was that she watched me approach the table and buy-in with may POV book plainly in sight and my ACG coupon plainly in sight (the ACG coupon was on top of the POV book) and watched me play the ACG $10 coupon (which I won). Then when I went to tear out my POV $25 coupon she very sternly stated that I could not use the POV coupon. I told her the coupons were from two different sources and thought the rule was 1 coupon per source per day. She very sternly told me I was wrong. I immediately colored up and left.

We also ran into the 1 coupon per day rule regardless of source at The Cannery and at Terribles. The irony at Terribles was that I could not even use the coupon they just gave me (in their coupon book) in the same day as the POV or ACG. I could not even use the BJ matchplay and the Roulette MP that was in the coupon book on the same day.

We enjoy all three places, but we decided not to give any play to these casinos due to their 1 coupon per day rule. So instead of us staying and playing we just hit and run. I would think that these local casinos would want to keep us coming back to play instead of just hit and run.

We used both Rampart coupons this past Saturday; however, I played the POV first, then when the dealer told me only 1 coupon a day I told the pit boss that my wife was playing the ACG coupon. Since there were 2 of us and only 2 coupons he allowed it. I'm sure if it was just me i'd have been told "no"

Before you lay the hammer down on those places and refuse to play there, realize that we are atleast
getting a chance to use a coupon at the Rampart, Terribles and other casinos like that. Look at all of
the casinos that refuse to put match play coupons into the LVA or ACG books. I have a tendancy not
to grace their doors. I go to the coast casinos a lot less since they dropped their "first blackjack pays
3 to 1" coupons from the LVA.

This is the strategy I've been able to use with success at the Rampart. I go in and use one of the BJ
match plays on one of the first two tables. I then go to the Jacks or Better VP and hammer away until
I hit a four of a kind and use the 40 coin bonus coupon. I then go the smaller pit to the right and use
the second BJ matchplay. Usually there is a 2nd pit boss over there.

It is then time to head to the suncoast and play 5 cent video poker until a 4 of a kind is hit for the free
buffet coupon. If it wasn't for those coupons, I would never go to the Rampart or Suncoast.
I agree with sscccoach. I have no problem with the arbitrary application of the rules like that. In fact, I rarely even try to play both. You should always expect them to say no, and be happy if they say yes. These places are giving us a good shot at winning, especially with the $25 MP. If they let you use both great, but if not, we should still be grateful.

They have probably seen too much hit and run, to let it go on like that. When a poll was set forth, many respondents here on this board said they played one or two, and then just left. This is not good business for a casino. It is just a profit leak. Now luckily, apparently enough people do stay and play.

I do not set foot in casinos without a coupon. And I will play games. I am happy to report I am ahead on the LVA and ACG stuff. But it has probably been eroded by staying and playing other things, that is fine by me. I love the experience in playing various casinos.

I do the coupons like sscccoach. I play one at one end of the casino, and then the other coupon at another end, and usually, two different games with different bosses to avoid any heat.

Hey sscccoach, where do you get the Rampart 40 coin bonus coupons?? We loved them last year, but now the only ones I see are Nevada Palace in the books I have. Last year, Rampart had the 50-coin bonus, but they don't anymore.

Any updates or more recent experiences on this situation? I'm pondering if I want to make the long schlep out there on my next trip to Vegas, or if I'll just avoid the place altogether.
thanks for dredging up this outdated mismash of replies about the subject in my other post "using LVA and ACG coupons"..from what i gather here Rampart has a bitchy asian pitboss and it is the luck of the draw (or was in 2007) on whether the pit boss allows 2 coupons. Seems playing them at different pits is preferable...i hope terribles has changed the policy, they have too many coupons to play them 1 day at a time. and places that limit their own funbook coupons to 1 a day ought to be ashamed.....whoever posted that we should feel priviledged to be able to use coupons is a moron...the casinos should feel lucky we are tempted by coupons to set foot in their places.

We were there over Christmas 2008. I had played my AGC $20 MP a few days prior. Then, when I tried to play the $25 LVA, a balding middle aged pit boss who looked like Rudy Guliani (day shift) said that I had already played a coupon "this year" and could only do 1 a year. He looked into a data base file of some sort with my players card. (Note to multi users, be careful here). I was polite, and told him the AGC was different, for a different amount. And I would not try and pawn off two coupons of the same ilk on them, but rather, this was two different offers. I play there, so I was determined to push the issue. Wasn't like I am a hit-and-run, I have lost plenty there. He gave in after an easy conversation, but nonetheless, did not enjoy the scrutiny. We will be there in 3 weeks to play the new ones. We'll see what happens!
where was that ? cannery or terrible's? do they take your card info on every coupon you play at every casino?...next thing ya know they will have a book for card counters and coupon runners!!!
We had a bad experience with Rampart last trip. It was a female pit critter but not an Asian. I played my $25 match at the bj table while my wife went to play the ACG coupon at the roulette table. She placed her match play down on black with a $10 bill. The pit critter jumped all over her. Loudly telling her that she can't let money play. She could have done this quietly, but she was intent on being a pain in the ass. My wife took the mouthing and went straight to a hosts office to vent. It will be a looooong time before she will darken their doorway again. On the other hand, I will darken their doorway hoping to beat them with their own coupons if I can.

Rampart is a coupon pain in the ass.
On our last trip me and my better half each had a POV matchplay at the Rampart, each played Pai Gow Poker, and each won and colored-up (and played some video poker and slots in the casino -- it wasn't a total hit-and-run) I don't think we tried to also use an ACG coupon, though.
