Terrible's $100 Loss Coupon - Watch Out

When I bought and paid for a membership in 2010, as part of the promotion/package it was highly promoted/advertised as coming with a great online coupon at Terrible's to cover up to $100 of my losses with freeplay. In November I used the online coupon as part of my 2010 package that I paid for for 2010.

Now even though LVA is still highly promoting this online coupon as part of the 2011 membership package, any 2010 member who used this coupon in 2010 will have severe restrictions on using it in 2011 even though it is being marketed as part of the 2011 membership benefits.

In another thread anthony now indicates that I and others won't be able to use this until at least 12 months since I used my 2010 coupon. This means not until November 2011 for me. Since my trip(s) to LV this year will be before November it becomes entirely useless for me for 2011 with these severe limitations and will likely be the same for many others.

If nothing else, I think this should be made more plain to members who are resigning up in good faith and being lead to believe this coupon will be good for the most part for all of calendar year 2011 like the printed couponsand that it has severe limitations for existing members who used the coupon in 2010.

I hate to be a stick in the mud, but when this coupon became available the rules were pretty clearly stated. This is a one-time use coupon and will be tracked closely.

IF Terrible's gets great action out of this coupon they could potentially change the rules and allow it to be used once a year (but we won't know that for a while). However, most once a year coupons make you wait 12 months in between using them anyway, so if you used it in November you wouldn't be able to use it again until the following November.

So far, from the people who have posted about using this coupon, it doesn't sound like Terrible's is getting great action. I don't think people are going in and giving $5k to $10k in action. Most are either winning and leaving or losing the $100, cashing out the rebated free play and then leaving. I can't see this coupon going on forever.

Just my opinion.
mare,
I agree. I used mine on Christmas and left with a $100 profit after 3-4 hours of play. I would not expect to use an additional coupon for at least another year, if ever. My wife will be using hers on our April trip. Hope she has as much luck as i did.
I will add however, that without that coupon I never would have set foot in Terribles since my last visit some 6-7 years ago. I had a good time during my coupon use and enjoyed the experience. i will probably drop by there far more often if not on a regular basis for awhile. So the coupon has drawn in at least one new customer (two including my wife).
I continue to be amazed by some the threads on this topic. First, the rules and reason were clearly stated in the LVA when this coupon arrived. Second, it seems that many people to not realize how good this coupon is. This is the single best "publicly available" gambling coupon from the past couple of years. It has a tremendous upside with very minimal downside risk.

As stated before, quit being so damn greedy...or at least don't be public about it!

From the LVA:

This is a special offer for LVA members only. It’s good whether you’re local or out-of-state, a new or existing Terrible’s players club member, and even if you’ve played it before. Terrible’s has marketed this promotion in a few other spots and there’s a strict one-play-only rule, but they’re allowing LVA members to play it again.

Arizona Charlies had this offer for new sign ups for years. I don't remember people going nuts about it.
This offer does not constitute tremendous upside anymore than risking $100 in another casino.
Are you Anthony? He has yet to admit the offer in the new book cannot be used if you used the SIMILAR
offer in 2010. He had the perfect chance, even the obligation, to make that clear in today's QOD!!!!
Did he do so? You keep making the same post. So, I will repeat that the Palms coupon probably has more value for many members.

I'm an LVA member and they didn't allow me to play it again with the coupon I printed on your site with my name on it!
This is beginning to sound like the kid that was told that he could only eat one candy but after he ate the candy he kept asking for another one and after being told, "No," he persisted on asking, and asking, and ............

"I want another candy!" (LOL)
Too much whining!!!
