Tropicana $200 rebate offer

In terms of vp at less than $1, it was 7/5 BP with a RF progressive.

There are $1 multi line games that are better and all are located in high limit.

Our strategy was to try to walk with a decent win on a high payoff game or take the loss rebate and run it back through one time on the lowest volatility/highest payback vp machine. In reality, we got one of each scenario.

Bob, I was surprised that they allowed me to participate....I'm reasonably sure that I had a card there although it was likely 12 years or so ago. You would think that after eight years someone would have reasonably thought that offering this to you might give you an incentive to be back sooner. LOL

Contrary to what many people think, I've not been overly impressed with the quality of casino marketing in general. Customers tend to give these people more credit than they deserve. They're not as bright as we sometimes give them credit for!

They have one quarter 8/5 BP machine, or, at least, they did in March. Well, sorta. They have a quarter 8/5 BP 50-play machine, but you can play a single line and still get the normal payout on the Royal. Just don't hog the machine when I want to play it (or accidentally hit the "Max Bet" button like I did, twice, on my trip).

I did the first 1/2 of this promotion in April.
There is a single NSUD 25c slanttop machine about 1/2way down the main aisle on the "right" side of the casino.

VPFree says there is a MIA (missing) 25c NSUD near the sportsbook area about 1 month ago. I wouldn't call the solo machine I used near the sportsbook at all, so it might still be there.

Good luck to you.

Thanks guys for pointing out the better games. My total investment in the place was going to be $200 so I obviously didn't invest a whole lot of time scouting.

Neither of these are indicted on vpFree so thanks for pointing them out.

I have mixed feelings about the place....it's certainly considerably nicer than when I was in it 10+ years ago and they have carried the new theme well throughout the property as a result of their renovation. On the downside, restaurant choices are limited as are the games. A strong mailer might make up for some of the evil but I don't know anyone who plays there as either a local or tourist that can provide insight into what their mailer program looks like.

We have a pretty full play schedule now so I don't think I'll be adding it in the next 60 days but after that perhaps we'll give them a good drop in play day and see if it bears fruit.
