As a side story. Yesterday I was checking in for our flight out of vegas (I'm at the airport right now waiting to board) and read through the list of coupons for 2011. I posted a response related to the M buffet (not happy about it) and read through some responses. I read about the Terribles coupon and had forgotten that I had printed out the coupon before leaving home. I figured I had a few hours to kill before meeting my wife for Christmas dinner at Garduno's and headed out to Terribles from the Orleans. I got in line at the players club, they took my coupon and told informed me of the rules. No problem, up to $100 freeplay for loses. I headed to the machines.
I had decided to use the $100 to try for a royal. I haven't hit one in over 10 years. I sat down, put in $100 and played .25, bonus poker at a flat top. I hit quads twice in the first 10 minutes. I decided if i got up $100 I would quit. Never quite got there. Bounced around for around 45 minutes, then the machine started to stall on me and wouldn't respond to my selections. I cashed out, still up $25 and moved to another machine. This one was not as kind and I was down to less than $15 when I hit 4 As. Back up again. I again bounced from $100-$125 for the next hour. Time was now running out. I had been playing for over 2 hours and was basically even. If i didn't "get my loss" soon, I would be unable to play through my freeplay. I cashed out my $100 and moved to a $1 machine near the cashier. Again, bonus poker. I played for around 15 minutes and was down to $10 when I hit 4 2s for $200. I played down to $200 even and cashed out.
Christmas dinner was on Terrible's. Thank you.
