2019 American casino guide coupon list

I know it's too late to help anyone, but new for ACG2019 were $10 Matchplays at the downtown Boyd properties (Cal, MSS, Fremont).  When we visited on 12/26, we were told that the coupons were not valid until 1/1, that they didn't have codes to enter into the computer so there was nothing they could do.  These were the only casinos where we ran into this - everyone else took the 2019 coupons in late December 2018, including the Boyd properties of Orleans and Gold Coast (which have had MP coupons in the book for several years, and always take them before 1/1).

We also saw that the "earn 200 points, get a free buffet and keep the points" coupons at Boyd properties in ACG2018 were affected by the change to their stupid "tier credit" system (where new cardholders can't earn actual points).  Gold Coast honored their coupon for earning only 1 tier credit, and Sams Town for 20 tier credits.  (The 2019 coupons all require 40 tier credits.)

Yup the 40 tier credits is the same as last year as it takes $5 to earn a point so 40x5=200.

I was slightly encouraged to see that Sams Town appeared to be giving me tier credits at the rate of approximately 15 per hour on $10 BJ.  That makes the ACG "40 tier credits" coupons at least usable for me.  My VP days at Boyd at over since I will never earn 750 tier credits in a year.

On holidays and special days they still give vp players 11x same as slots.

Jokare, this 11x points at Boyd is only halfway correct in terms of Videopoker. Videopoker 11x yes, but the "earning method" is different. It takes 2 dollars coin-in for 1 bonus point. In other words...it looks like a marketing trick to me , nothing else. In fact, what once used to be 6x points on videopoker is now 5.50x points on Videopoker. But this is still better than nothing....

Extra gambling for tier credits has many people chasing their tails..., the stooges at Boyd must be getting a big laugh about this.

Many of the ACG and LVA coupons give a little free play for some small amount of actual play.  I always play those.  After I turned 50, I could play on the Boyd YAH days and get point multipliers and other goodies like basically being able to eat free all day long for maybe 200 points on VP.  So I started doing that too.  Boyd's "new and improved" program took away all of that for me.  I only visit once or twice a year, I'll never make Sapphire level, so I get no points and no multipliers.

The 2019 ACG "40 tier credit = a free buffet" coupon turns out to be equal to 2-3 hours of $10 BJ (at least that's what I saw on my recent visit).  Which I could probably get just by asking the pit for it, but whatever.   I like their BJ and will continue playing that.  But I'm done with their VP.

I have an "open case" with the Goldcoast. I will continue playing the double gold jackpot game as I want to find out if one day some lucky player (hopefully me) will win that 999,999.99 Dollar Jackpot. Not so sure if it's truly a fair game or not. Seems to me a bit unlikely that it never hits throughout all these years.... However, I will keep trying and this earns me some Tier points that will keep me alive as a Sapphire , hopefully into 2020.

Greetings

Remember when Vegas vacations were fun for their own sake?  Freebies came from funbooks.  Tiers...what you shed after losing the bankroll.  Points...you hoped the Dow gained some.  Point multipliers...padded bras.  LOL.
