Thanks for all the responses everyone. Nice to know we aren't the only ones who feel this way. Perhaps LVA staff will investigate????

Two words...Cos-mo. We made that move over a year ago and have not looked back.
Hope this changes by this November!
Has anyone had any recent experiences. Have a trip scheduled for June and would like to know.
yes that policy stinks stayed at ballys in december i was playing blackjack ordered a captain and coke and i couldnt get it cause it was a highend cocktail IT NOT EVEN THAT AN EXPENSIVEof a BOTTLE i was not happy cause of that policy but could get them at the famingo
I Suggest that you vote with your feet and go elsewhere. That’s the only way there’s any chanceOf having this change, and that’s a slim chance as best. Seems like the major casinos are all run by accountant
I know I did, and haven’t been on the strip to gamble in the last four years. Many better casinos downtown.Who appreciate your business.
This situation reminds me somewhat of General Motors in the 80s. Accountants to go over and the quality of the cars went to hell. This left a huge opening what’s the Japanese car manufacturers took advantage of. I’d like to think/hope that There is someone out there, maybe one of the tribal casinos, who can do this who can do this, and get a LOT of new customers who are realizing the are being taken advantage of.
It is really a dumb policy, will bite them on the rear eventually, it happened to me at Harrahs Laughlin in April, wanted a Makers Mark & coke, no, can I pay the difference no, side note Bartenders at Harrahs Laughlin basically said you cannot get there from here , Bartenders went from ab A- to a D, is good service possible anymore?
Harrah's Laughlin is 100% Pepsi. Actually didn't realize this applies at the bars, but when we come in our Hosts know to go to the store and buy us a couple six packs of Coke. Nice little Host perk, but must have our Coke!

Not sure where everyone got the information about drinks. Am in Vegas now and at Ballys, Linq, Flamingo and Paris had only one problem in requesting a specific brand. That was at Flamingo and the young lady said that is only for Diamond and above.
I had asked about Laurel Lounges and will now answer my own question. They are not open. Instead you have four coupons to use and there are plenty of locations to get coffee, juice, water or an alcoholic drink.
Glad to hear it. I was in town in late May. I was playing the VP bartops at the Flamingo and the bartenders watched you like a hawk to make sure you are spending enough to get a "free" drink. I'll confess to slow-playing them but that was because the paytables were a joke. Overall, it was a real turn-off. I said f it and gave the Casino Royal all of my strip play. They were very generous with drink comps.
I'll still stay at the Ceaser's properties for the good room deals but they won't get any play from me because of the horrid pay tables and tight assed comps. 6/5 JOB what a sick joke.
