I don't have much info but this much I learned on Thursday. There are some new perks for emerald players, announced at the party Thursday and Friday. Quarterly LV trip for 3 nights with $75 food credits to be used at any LV Boyd property. Quarterly invite for a Complimentary Holland cruise that can only be used once a year. Complimentary 4 nights at the Baha Mar in the Bahamas.
I have heard rumors they are not being so nice to their video poker players, including slot points going from 1 per dollar to 1 per 2 dollars, tier status points going from 1 per dollar to some theo forumula, and the thresholds for tier levels going from public to secret. I really hope it ain't so.
CET has had a "free Bahamas trip" for their elite members, but it does not include resort fee, taxes, and mandatory gratuities. They also charge $50 per night for each additional guest, and their least inexpensive food plan is $80 per person per day. I am curious if Boyd will be different, or if they will follow the CET model.
changes went into play today----from what i can see it is complicated------perhaps anthony can do some research and publish same in the next newsletter------tons of people visit the various boyd casinos and would be affected
Good idea.
this looks like a massive tightening
There are photos of the Onyx level info here: https://www.thechipboard.com/index.cgi/page/1/md/read/id/1532745/sbj/the-onyx-level-rewards-flyer/
The whole deal looks like they don't want their players to know exactly what is happening, and at the higher levels, it looks like that has been their policy for a while!
I am a loyal Orleans player for 10 years and now it looks like I will have to find somewhere else to give my business to.
