I had 242,000 Tier credits on August 23rd. Come Sept. 3rd I went to Blue Chip in IN. and had 7200, go figure, I guess it may be time to leave Boyd's.

Me too. The wife and I have a combined 5 day comp that we are using 10/8-13th for my 2 cousins, for our anniversary celebration. In the past whether we stayed there or let a family member use our comp ( while we stayed at a CET property), we always gave Orleans adaquet play to continue to receive minimal offers. This latest fiasco tears it for me. At first I didn’t even recognize my bconnected profile! I’ve never knowingly “stiffed” a property . Next month will be a first. Gonna switch to Stations and keep my Diamond at CET!
Arthur eve I think if you check your offers now posted thru February your probably going to receive the same offer as now.
I wish that were true Jokare. For as long as I can remember, there was always a 2/3 night offer for Orleans/Gold Coast/ sams Town/ Suncoast and some minimal fsp for me and a 2 night offer for the wife. When I looked Monday there wasnt a free room offer to be had. I'm glad the wife and I locked in 5 nights for next month back in August. Ive givin Orleans and Gold coast, specifically decent play, the past 8 visits (always March and October) . Doesn't make sense for those offers to dissappear. I swear that they were there 2 months ago!
Stations casinos...here I come!
Now it only says...
Nuff said!
Just returned from Vegas. Spent several nights at different Boyd locations. From my experience that I would like to share with you it looks as follows: The casinos, in particular Sam's Town and Suncoast, besides the fact that the new players club situation Sucks big League, the casinos have not changed much...however. earning points that will qualify for a free buffet or a free gift are no longer obtainable for regular videopoker players. I mean, what good is a free buffet if you have to play 8000 dollars coin-in , or even more, before you have 40 tier points earned which would buy you the buffet? I would rather use one of those 2-for-1 coupons that I have from the American Casino Guide or from the LVA membership book.
On the other hand, there are a lot of multiplier days that you can play and these days are not restricted to the low hold videopoker machines or not. You can usually play anyhting except over 100 per cent games. So by playing 3-4 hours on a quarter machine you still earn enough points that would buy you a decent dinner.
The rooms that I had were mostly comped although I have already cut down on my play and even notified the host about my reasons for it. If Station CAsinos is offering the same game and offers even 3x points compared to 0.50x points according Boyd's new rules, what sense does it make to play at Boyd? I think my host got the message but there's not much that they can do. Only if more and more players give them their vote by walking, they will have to adjust their policy. Well, actually they don't have to, but it would be wise because even players like me lose money. And if they lose us players, they also can't earn money from us. Let's keep it simple and short.
Matter of fact, I came to the conclusion that even paying for the room would be cheaper than having to put in 10,000 dollars coin-in before you actually would at least theoretically qualify for a room comp. I spoke to a host at Sation casinos and they are welcoming me now and will give me room rates based on my casino action . That's what it's supposed to be. After all, it's a long flight to get there and it's in the middle of the desert and there are more and more casinos world wide. I don't see a reason why casinos in Nevada should all over sudden be so selfish and greedy that they do no longer appreciate a real player. On the other hand, I understand if they don't want people who just stay in the rooms for free without actually playing. I would stop offering free rooms to such patrons, but if you just check the volume of play on the players that complain, you will understand what I mean. And the new point system of Boyd's club is nothing but a big joke and from what I saw during the Wednesdays Young at Heart events, the number of casino guests playing at the machines has suddendly gone down tremendously. And they probably left Boyd for a reason. If Boyd's smart marketing people will understand why is that? Will they be ready to accept the mistake they did and correct it?
If there is anybody from Boyd and is interested to hear how we could fix it, please let me know. I am more than willing to help you with it.
