Best hotel for low rollers

Hi!

I am trying to find out which hotel on/near the strip you think is the best for promotions and deals for people who are NOT high rollers?

- SLS

- Luxor

- Stratosphere

- Palms

Any others?

I like to gamble, but I'm definitely NOT a high roller, but I go to Vegas frequently, and want to focus on ONE hotel so that I can make the most of my comps, etc for rooms since I fly in from Florida.

I have friends who do REALLY well with SLS, but I am wondering if thats my best bet, or if other hotels should be where I focus?

Thanks,

Robert

I like the TI

Currently Southpoint is the casino most mentioned for good comps (and good VP) for low rollers.  Unfortunately not close to the Strip.  Of course that is why their comps are great...way off Strip.

TI is a good suggestion.  They've been advertising offers on TV, so no need for a record of playing there to take advantage of those offers.  I've never stayed there.

You have your list.  Go with your gut.  You can't go wrong if you know you like the property in the first place.

SLS is new.  Luxor and Palms are multi-property, which can be an advantage.  Gives you some options, including offers at non-Vegas properties.

Good luck.  Let us know which you pick!

If you plan on having a car I would suggest staying off strip like the Orleans or Gold Coast. The strip properties have pretty high resort fees plus paid parking. At least off strip resort fees are lower and parking is still free.

I also would suggest the Orleans or Gold Coast. They have a free shuttle that picks up/drops off by the High Roller.

The Gold Coast actually is my personal favorite. The atmosphere inside that casino is just fantastic. A casino for normal people. No high end luxury, but everything you need. If you go there to gamble, you can get great benefits in your mailer in the future.

There are other Boyd operated casinos that have similar levels of service quality and rating, the high end casino of Boyd is definetely the Suncoast in Summerlin. A must-visit. I learned over the years of visiting Las Vegas that since I go there to gamble anyway, I usually gamble where I stay, and this is a win-win situation, either for the house, as well as for me. In my opinion it would not make much sense to stay at Bellagio and gamble at Caesars Palace. Same hold's true when you visit a local casino. What sense does it make to stay at Gold Coast but gamle at red rock? I give the casinos my action, and in return they give me a break on my room bill. Everybody is happy that way. And this makes me return to those places. I think I would not look for just cheap rooms and not gamble at all. If that would be the case, i would then probably make vacation in Laughlin or Mesquite.

Greetings

Hmmmm okay - thanks for the advice everyone.

I personally was hoping for a strip property (although the Palms is nice too and it’s not too far), but I’ll weigh my options!

robert

Tropicana hands out free rooms like candy and they have free parking.

Got an offer this past fall for 3 free nights, $50 in food, and $50 in free play.    I am at the lowest level in their players club.

TI is a Strip property.

Okay, I’ve narrowed it down to:

- SLS

- Stratosphere

- Tropicana

- Palms

Which resort do you think will give me the biggest bang for the buck in terms of comps/discounts for future stays?
