Boyd July 4th Bonus Promos

I just noticed on the LVA Players Club Bonus Points page that many of the Boyd properties are limiting their July 4th bonus point promotions to LOCALS ONLY. As a non-local who tends to visit during holiday periods this is a definite disappointment.

Does anyone have any knowledge about whether this is a one-time thing or the new trend? We are currently planning a trip that overlaps Labor Day and may decide to stay somewhere else on that particular day to take advantage of a more advantageous bonus promotion.

I think this is a trend - they did the same thing on Memorial Day.
