Boyd's reconsidering?

After reading Jean Scott's last blog entry, I looked at my B Connected account online. I'm a very low roller, never higher than Ruby; and, suddenly, I'm sapphire now? They gave me just enough tier credits to get over the sapphire hump. Also, last month they gave me two free nights and entry into a slot tournament at the Cal for the first week of December.

So I'm wondering....is this a sign that they are reconsidering their "improved and exciting" player's club structure? If so, is it selective, or are they just bumping all the Ruby players with any history at all up to Sapphire? Is some marketing exec in damage control mode? I'm really curious as to whether any other Ruby players got a similar bump.

I just checked and I haven't had a bump.  I'm sitting at approximately 150 tier credits, with no offers other than what is offered to standard Ruby members.

Curiouser and curiouser. On last year's trip (during March Madness), three of us stayed at MSS. I was a net loser at video poker (about $200) as was another guy whose tier credits were also bumped up. The other guy was a net winner (hitting a royal flush) and he's still Ruby.

They better make it soon. Once people leave, it is hard to get them back especially if they left with a bad experience. If they do manage to woo them back, it is most likely that it costs the casino more than if they had just left well enough alone.

Nothing curious there.  In casino theory the winner will be tempted to return, so no need to throw him any bait, while the two losers need some incentive (in theory).  Penny wise and pound foolish, as someone said.

That may be true, but it's the exact opposite of what I've always heard about "casino theory". I always heard they wanted to keep the winners around so the house edge could do its magic over time.

Did you not get the exciting email where basically your tier credits are lost on 12/€31. I start with 500 tier credits 1/2019.  I was just there and played rather heavily on 25 cent vpoker. I got app. 200 increase in tier credits. Backing off? Do not think so. I played for 3 days at Orleans and 4 days at Fremont. 2-0 tier credits?   It would seem that in 2020 I would not qualify for any card. Certainly not current sapphire level. My attitude if comps quit coming I go alewhere.

I just got friendly email from Boyd. I am at sapphire level. As of this date I have zero tiercredits. I also have no transfer credits at all. They I believe will if you have 15k tier credits they will transfer 500 credits. This is a big joke. They are deceptive and ball faced liars. There is not a single item that benefits the player. I have my card ending 12`31 19. I can use points for food. Nothing else.

You can cash your regular points in.  Tier credits are worth nothing but a status level.  Your Saphire thru 2019
