Caesars Entertainment Junket

I'd be interested in drumming up some discussion on these boards so wondered if folks would share their experiences regarding CET junkets!

I'm not sure if I'm destroyed my ADT with Caesars or if the economy is rebounding such that I don't qualify for CET junkets any longer, but for a while I was getting some really great offers to fly to places like Reno, Atlantic City, Laughlin, New Orleans, Biloxi (maybe?) and Lake Tahoe. They were usually an offer for two free flights out, along with a comped room for a few nights.

Now, I get Laughlin exclusively comped or Atlantic City but it's $150 pp. I wondered if folks out there are still getting their offers (which would then lead me to believe my ADT is no longer within what they deem *valuable*) or if the economy is strong enough that they don't see the value in getting me out to their 2nd (or some might argue 3rd) tier casinos.

So if folks have anything they'd like to share, I'd sure love to hear your thoughts!
I've got CET's number on that. You can be Diamond and more, but if you don't give them some 'regular' play, those offers fall off, not totally but the quality of the offers, where you can stay under the offer, etc. Including the charter offers.

I made Diamond (as I had for the past 20 years or whenever they started that tier program) in August a couple years ago, and for whatever circumstances came along I didn't visit a CET casino until the following February or so. My offers dropped like a rock...after just a few months! So I now strategize my play to keep CET and MGM happy. I'm recovering from the CET drought, offers are better, still getting the charter offers to Laughlin and Reno. Reno Harrah's is a dump and I'll never do that one again. I used to get offers for my choice of Reno or Lake Tahoe, and of course always chose Lake Tahoe. The last Lake Tahoe charter offer I got was for a price, probably still a decent deal (considering the flight is included) but just the principal of the thing I declined. I figure they'll give me Lake Tahoe again in due time, but it takes some planning and playing to keep CET happy.

Some of it depends on where you go with some regularity. I've gotten charter offers to other cities that I haven't cared to try, and those don't seem to come anymore, which is fine. I can only support just so many casinos and their companies! Also, some of it has to do with which marketing office the offers come from (not all the same). If you have a Host, you can call and ask what is available to you in regard to charters, and let that Host book it for you. Sometimes they can get you better stuff, but only if you've been giving them some play.

As for Host booking, I got an offer for Laughlin and it had a number to call. Something told me to check with my Vegas CET Host whether she cared to go to the trouble of booking it for me. She said a big YES and thanked me for letting her book it, so somehow she gets some credit or something.
Oh wow, that's phenomenal information, thank you O2!

On a slightly off topic tangent (but I'm the OP so I can do this) I have to say that it annoys me that approx. every 3-4 months I get a phone call from a "new" casino host. I kid you not. On average, I get about 4 phone calls from a CET Host who introduces themselves to me as my new casino host. If I ever need reservations made, just give them a call. LOL, why? You'll leave in less than 6 months and someone new will be reaching out to me. And where's the incentive to form a relationship with you if you're going to jump ship within the next quarter? :D

But that being said, for the purposes of a charter, I guess I will call a host. If for no other reason to see if they can waive the fee, because like you, I will not pay for a charter. It's the principle of the matter!
I agree, except they cannot wave the $30 fee to Laughlin or the $40 fee to Biloxi. At least MGM gives us the $40 back in play. I don't remember CET giving that back. Nothing the Host can do about that, but he/she might be able to comp off a meal or something. You can leave your account "open" for the Host to review and possibly comp it their next business day, or not!

While I've had the same CET Host for quite some time, my friend who goes with us has had numerous ones in a short time, like you. More recently she had a CET "team" of Hosts, who by this time all but one have gone. I think in Vegas, Hosts are a vanishing breed. I had a wonderful MGM host who suddenly disappeared from the landscape, and the only way I figured that out was when my e-mail to him bounced back. I called and got another one, and hope he will not leave me, or least let me know. But they don't usually tell us, especially if they move to another company...some company non-disclosure rules, I'm sure. I've only had one Host in 30 years communicate that she was leaving, and that is because she was actually dying and would not be going to work somewhere else. It was sad. Harrah's even held a reception, inviting all us clients of hers to say goodbye and meet the new Host (whom I didn't like at all and never did business with him). Another story.

I live in Toronto so I usually go out of Toronto to Atlantic city or from Buffalo to Atlantic city, or Laughlin. They do not fly to Tunica anymore from Buffalo. As for the $30 experience fee, they cannot comp that as it is the security fee from the airport - but you can pay for it with points. Ask your Casino Host how to do this, we did it last month by calling the national marketing office prior to leaving Atlantic City. My Casino host is in located in Buffalo and he is awesome. He also does his own jaunts to New Orleans, Lake Tahoe, San Diego, Baltimore (if the Jays are playing) and to some places with the Bills are playing and some other jaunts including his annual birthday bash. They usually do a 2 for 1 airline deal with their players with Southwest or if you are a high roller they comp the airfare - depends on your play.
