It looks like it all worked out after all. I received a free offer of 2 nights plus a little free play and food credits at the Palms. I also have a couple of free nights at either the Rio, Ballys or the Quad. Sometimes it just doesn't seem like there's a method to the "comp madness" but it usually works out in the end.

Yes, you never know what Casinos' Marketing Departments may do.

A new member could get more than a long time established member because they are "Fresh Meat" and they know that the more established players will give them action anyway and so they don't have to entice the Players as much.

Sometimes also you will get a nice deal after you have not been there for a while since they want you to come back.

Rec, I always thought that too. But last year, my wife attended a convention at South Point, so I had her get a card, thinking a newbe would get an offer. I played over $10k thru the dollar machines on her card in one day and she got nothing for offers (fortunately I came out ahead).

Marketing offers at South Point are not that good. You need to contact a host. The names of the hosts are on their website.

There is also a seasonal element to this. You can get offers, and play, Dec, Jan, Feb and Mar.
but you won't hear from them in April through June. Offers might then start up in August.

Unless you are a high roller, don't get too tied into one place.

Just a guess... but if your play is being spread out over multiple companies, then your theo at any one property may be suffering?
