I stopped into the Composer's Room last week to take them up on the $1.99 burger and got quite a bit more than I bargained for. I showed up just after opening at noon, and was the only patron for at least the next hour. The piano guy was there, playing whatever popped into his head, and the bartender showed up minutes later and took my order. The burger was amazingly good. It's a beef/pork burger, and about an inch thick. Lots of very crisp, cold veggies on top with a decent bun. For a buck ninetynine, you can't go wrong. Struck up a conversation with the bartender while munching away and soon we were tasting whiskeys, so an added bonus for me. I also played through $20 on the VP (didn't win), but she ended up comping the burger completely. Be sure to check out the sheet music posted above the urinals if you want to learn how to play "She Came In Through the Bathroom Window" by the Beatles! I can't say that everyone will have a similar experience, but mine was certainly positive.
