Cosmopolitan reimburses first $100 slot loss...

Has anyone seen this documented elsewhere?

"The Cosmopolitan's Identity players club has just announced a slots promotion valid for new signups through June 15, 2011. New members will receive $100 in free play when losing $100 coin - in at slots during a day's play. Essentially, if and when you lose $100 of your bankroll, they will provide $100 in free play."

Cosmo Identity Rebate
Good article dcaler. Too bad that I wont flying out of Buffalo until late August. Sure wouldnt mind taking a crack at some of thier VP with the 100 guarantee!
Makes me wish I hadn't signed up already..........and got squat.
Nice catch. Thanks for sharing.

I hope they extend it a few times. It'll give me an excuse to spend time on the Strip.

There's a big ad for this promo in today's R-J. NOWHERE does it say it's for new sign-ups only, and I read all the fine print. It just says to bring your card to the identity membership desk after you lose $100 ("valid on slot play only") and they will reimburse you $100 in free play. You have to do your initial play and reimbursement on the same day.

The only mention of actually signing up for a card is to say that IF you don't already have a card, bring your rewards card from any other casino and they'll match your status.

Even Better! Thanks Sue!

hey Sue/C. L. V. ...I wonder if the card matching status applies to out of town casinos? I am a "Chairman" (top level within The Seneca family of Casinos) at my home casino in NIagara Falls. You think its worth a try ?
Sue, you mentioned the ad says "valid on slot play only"--would that mean no video poker, or is that the general phrase used to limit the offer to machine play? If no vp, it might be fun to use initially on slots, knowing I'd get my losses back in free play--but if the free play can also only be used on slots I would anticipate leaving a lot of it in a slot machine.

Thanks for any clarification--leave this weekend and was planning to take advantage of this offer.
The ad doesn't clarify that, and I have no idea. Casinos refer to video poker as "slots," but I'd ask first, if I were you.
Is the $100 slot loss actual loss or you put in $100 and play against it, keep the winnings, but play out your $100. ( Does that make sense?) Does anyone know the answer? I am new to this type of reimbursement wording. Sorry if it seems like a dumb question.
