Cosmopolitan reimburses first $100 slot loss...

Happy to report my $100 FP was still loaded on my card.

Unfortunately mixed results depending on boothling you talk to.

Was there couple days ago.......Male boothling told friends he put $100 fp promo
on their cards, so go Play & if they Lose 100, come back.

They both did Lose.........a few hours later...........and were told by a female boothling
that "HE was wrong, and the $100 FP was Not available."

When my friend found me & reported what she was told.......I told her, SHE is wrong,
GO talk to her Supervisor!

My friend decided to Not go back & blew it off, I'm sorry to say. I wouldn't have let HER get away with it.

So buyer beware about Cosmo FP offer.

I was denied the offer on my first request on Tuesday. Went back yesterday (Wednesday) and

politely requested the offer and it was granted to me by a different boothling. I mentioned to

her that I was an existing member since February but I had never used an offer or any free play.

Please help me make sure I understand this promo correctly, after two reads through this long thread I'm still not sure...

1. Go to Cosmo and sign up for the Identify card.
2. Use the card playing slots and lose $100.
3. Get the card loaded with $100 "Identity play" aka free play.

Now is where I get confused...

What is $100 Identity play really worth? I see some possible scenarios.

A. Bet $100 and win $160. I can cash out and leave the casino with $60? Is the $100 free-play still on the card? Or, can I cash out the full $160 and leave the casino with $160 in my pocket?

B. Bet $100 in $5 increments and lose $50. Do I still have $50 free play or do I have $50 cash that I can leave the casino with?

C. Bet $50 and win $100. I can leave the casino with the $100 and I still have $50 free-play on my card?

Thanks, and sorry for the newbie questions
Once you lose $100 and get the free play loaded onto your card, you then need to play the entire amount through a machine and once you have played that entire $100, you can cash out whatever is left. It is tracked separately from the actual cash winnings you earn while playing the free play. As an example, let's assume you play $1vp and get a high pair on every hand. Your $100 free play will play down to zero while your cash balance goes from $0 to $100. Hope that helps.
Makes perfect sense, thanks bobbyb.

If you're intent on minimizing your risk, Cosmopolitan has a 25-cent roulette machine that pays 35 to 1 on single numbers. Bet a quarter each on 1-36, 0, and 00. Spin 11 times, and you'll be guaranteed to net exactly $94.50 on your $100 free play, so there's no way to lose more than $5.50 on the proposition.

Which means you're guaranteed to lose $5.50. No thanks, I'm going to gamble.
This offer still exists as of 12/26/11. And there are a few signs up in the casino advertising it.

I played the offer in October, when I noticed a sign about it on a taxicab. I'd been wanting to visit the Cosmopolitan anyway and this gave me a reason. I don't recall seeing any signs in the casino about it. When I went back to the desk to claim my FP, I overheard others getting $10 FP at signup and I asked about that too, and was told that at signup, you could have either $10 FP or the $100 loss-rebate but not both.

Anyway, the offer still exists.
I see on the updated website that the $100 rebate will be in effect thru March 2012.
yay!

It's a cool promo. I was playing with the free play money after losing my hundred bucks and I hit VP
wins of $500 then $200.
Wow, that's very good that they have extended this promotion through March 2012!

Now hopefully this will enable me to make it over there during my hopeful upcoming LV trip at the end of February.

Unfortunately, I did end up missing going after the $100 loss promo at Terrible's! I just didn't have the time to get over there without being able to get in my normal play amount at the places that I stay at.

That happened because I had to end up losing over basically a day of play since I had to delay the beginning of my trip to LV by about 8 hours.
