Do some slot clubs treat married people differently?

There has been a debate in our family for years now about the way our accounts get handled by the slot clubs. My sister was told many years ago by one slot club that her offers were affected by her husband’s play, because he plays less and just VP. So they decided to sign up separately and started using different addresses to get separate accounts. He uses the street address and she uses her P.O. Box.

For the most part she does get more offers than he does, but we also notice that she gets fewer offers than I do. The reason it doesn’t make sense to us is, I play quite a bit at the tables as well as slots and VP. She plays only slots and VP. Shouldn’t I be getting fewer offers than she?

We all go to Nevada Casinos together and she and I play mostly the same amount of time. We now think that the casinos that know she is married are still downgrading her for her husband’s lighter play. Does anyone else notice a similar treatment of married slot club members?

There are many factors that go into getting offers. But in the end, it is the ADT or average play over each day. All three of you could easily spend exactly the same amount of money, but get wildy different offers.

Each game has a different value to the casino. Slots most value, then VP or maybe Table games.
A low play on the last morning by one of you but not the other will result in wide swings.
Amount of hours played.
Win/loss has little to no bearing.

In the end, they value a player based on their average daily play with all the other factors adding into that.

If you said which casino you are talking about, we could probably be more helpful. Anything that was told to you "many years ago" probably isn't true today.

All of our slot clubs have separated us now, as far as room offers are concerned. Sometimes the comp points are still combined, but the room offers/invitations are not. We frequently book two rooms now, so we can each get the cash/freeplay/gift that comes along with the offer.

So, we each get our own room offers now. (Last holdout: Boyd gaming, which finally sends us each our own offer since Jan. 2011).

The casino that told my sister about his play holding their comps down was “Silver Legacy”. It’s in Reno. But now we have lost count of the slot clubs that send us offers. They are all over Vegas and Reno. So, I wouldn’t know where to start being specific. I guess there is no “One” answer. Thanks for the info. though.
